To bikes – and to boats.
Investigate countryside and coast from Løgballe Camping near the village of Stouby, in the hills between Vejle and Juelsminde on Denmark's east coast. It's five kilometres from here to the banks of Velje Fjord, a few kilometres from Staksrode Forest, and within half an hour's drive of boat trips from Snaptun to the islands of Hjarnø and Endelave.
Leisure options on site are plentiful too, with a heated pool, a paddling pool, 15-hole miniature golf course, a sports field, a large playground and trampolines. Dogs are welcome and have their own exercise area.
Also on site is a well-stocked mini market for food and essentials, and a guest kitchen with sinks for food prep and dishes, a sink for hand-washing clothes, a freezer, a microwave, a washing machine and a tumble dryer.
A weekly campfire night for all ages, as well as regular activities for kids, are run by the friendly team.

Coast and countryside hiking and cycling paths are easy to access from here; pick up a map from the site team to see the best routes and their recommendations. Staksrode Forest is three kilometres away, or you could pedal the regional paths Bindeballestien and Engelsholmruten or ride along to the town of Vejle.
The site is about an hour from two big hits in Danish destinations: the waterslides and wave pool of Lalandia waterpark, and Legoland Billund Resort, the first Legoland in the world and the most visited attraction in Denmark after Copenhagen.
The 70 species of Givskud Zoo can be seen within about 40 kilometres; closer to home is the Palsgaard Manor Park, one of the biggest manor parks in Denmark, and the Ferguson Museum, with the world´s biggest collection of Ferguson tractors. Both are 15 kilometres away.
You could also visit the Glud Museum (20 kilometres), or drive to Snaptun to take a boat trip to the islands of Hjarnø and Endelave.
