Immerse yourself in nature at our eco retreat at Hill Farm, Tintern. With 15 acres overlooking The Wye Valley and Tintern Abbey, Hill Farm is the perfect location for a short break to recharge the batteries.
Enjoy spectacular views overlooking the Wye Valley and time exploring the 15-acre farm encompassing woodland, paddocks and streams with walks, bike rides and many attractions close by for everyone to enjoy.
We currently have 3 yurts in the field. Two 18 ft yurts (suitable 2 adults and up to 3 children) and a 12 ft yurt suitable for 2 persons.
The yurts are distanced apart and each yurt has a wood burner, comfortable beds (a double and 2/3 singles) with professionally cleaned linen, a towel for each guest and some added creature comforts.
Each yurt includes a covered outdoor kitchen area with a picnic bench, crockery, cutlery, utensils and a cool box. You are welcome to use a communal fridge/freezer and you will have access to a USB charging point. If you need more charge you are welcome to plug in in our studio or shala (please ask). We are dog friendly but please ask dogs not to jump on beds.
You will have access to a shower and toilet block with flushing toilets and hot water in the showers, as well as compost toilets closer to the yurts.
Before you arrive, we will email you a welcome pack with all the information that you will need during your stay at Hill Farm, Tintern.

Wood bags for the open fire – available from Hill Farm. £10 per tray
Locally sourced Breakfast (£12) and BBQ Packs (£22).
Pizza Nights: from May to October – Wednesday and Saturday night. £18 adult (£10 child) including freshly picked salad (depending on when you stay).
Sauna: £50 for 2 hours (thoroughly cleaned in between guests with a gap in between bookings).
Sauna and hot tub experience: £275 per group (available first come first served). This can be available from 3pm for as long as you would like it into the evening.
Massages- starting from £30 for back, neck and shoulder massage.
Woodland Yoga: £75 per hour (up to 2 people) or £95 per hour (up to 4 people).
Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing): Various Packages available - info in welcome pack.
Check in between 4-8pm and self check in after.
We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children and 2 dogs. We are here as much or as little as you need us. We pride ourselves on being warm and friendly and can give you advice on what to visit, walks, cycle tracks etc and can signpost you depending on what you are looking to do during your stay.
Our Yurts contain the following equipment and furnishings. If you have any questions about how to use the equipment or in the unlikely event of a fault, please report it to a member of the Hill Farm team immediately.
• 18ft Yurt - a double and 2/3 single beds
• 12ft Yurt – a double or 2 single beds
• All beds will have linen that is professionally cleaned in between guests.
• Towels
• A wood burner (please see instructions on how to use)
• An outside fire pit
• A BBQ – please bring your own charcoal or we sell sustainable charcoal
at £4/small bag or £10/large bag
• Picnic bench
• Cooking equipment including gas stove and kettle, pans and saucepans.
• Crockery and cutlery
• Cool box and communal fridge is available.
• Cleaning equipment including biodegradable anti-bacterial wipes, a washing up bowl, a washing up brush, cloths and tea-towels
Please remember to pack the following:
• Suitable walking shoes
• Warm clothes / sunhats / sun lotion. Prepare for all weathers
• Torches
• Games
• Food and drink – no shops are within walking distance!
Yurt Guidelines
• Please take off your shoes when entering the Yurt
• No dogs on the beds or furniture please
• Please look after your bed linen and don’t use towels off site.
• Please recycle and please do not drop litter around the site.
