喜欢 Pleasant surroundings - lovely big, flat field; river close by for swimming/ kayaking etc; very good shower and kitchen facilities with mugs, cutlery and fridge; finding cows grazing in the campsite field in the early morning was fun, but not everyone's cup of tea?!

不喜欢 Site owner's dog (?) chasing our vehicle all the way onto the site - we were very worried about injuring him and he also jumped up and scratched our vehicle; one shower not enough for a busy field; noise of traffic, but you get used to it

喜欢 Facilities were fantastic well stocked kitchen with cooking utensils, crockery, kettles, hob and water bottles. and very clean toilet and shower. Owners were very pleasant people, stopped for a chat one morning from chatting to an couple locals they’re obviously well thought of which filled us with confidence staying there. location was great a couple of nice walks around, pleasant walk to the pub and short drive to a few local attractions. Also had a few lawn games which were good fun to kill a bit of time on site if you’ve a quiet day.

不喜欢 Quite a lot of road noise kept us up at night, but they do supply ear plugs!

It’s great to hear you made the most of the local walks, lawn games, and the nearby pub, there’s plenty to enjoy both on site and in the area.

Regarding the road noise: while we are nestled in a peaceful and idyllic setting surrounded by nature, we are also located on a very accessible route straight into Cardiff, which makes us ideal for exploring the area. Occasionally, some road noise can be heard, but we’re glad the earplugs helped, we always provide them to ensure our guests get a good night’s sleep.

喜欢 Beautiful, clean bell tents with lovely gentle lighting inside, potted plants and comfy beds (with clean linen, sheets, duvets and pillows).
A quiet 'festival' vibe with bunting and outdoor lights for decoration
Great gas bbq (to hire)
Friendly and knowledgeable owners
Clean toilet and shower
Outdoor kitchen with tea/coffee/ fridge and mobile phone charge points

不喜欢 No fresh running water (so used bottled water - provided by owners)
The free roaming farm Labrador was a bit snappy with our dog and wasn't on a lead or with any owner for a large amount of the time.

Regarding your comments: our apologies about the unexpected visit from the farm Dog. Her name is Lilly, and she’s never usually out on site, she should have been up at the farmhouse with her sisters, but she does occasionally make a great escape as she absolutely loves the sight of guests and the space to explore! If this happens again, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll come and take her straight home.

As for the water: you’re absolutely right. Our site runs from a filtered well system, and while it’s filtered, we don’t currently offer it as drinking water until thorough testing is completed. However, we do provide unlimited bottled water, both large and small bottles, so there’s always fresh drinking water available to all of our guests.

喜欢 The site was simple but brilliant (if they don’t mind me saying). Peaceful, quiet, with signs of upgrades coming. Loved choosing our own pitch on a big open field. Shower and toilet facilities were excellent — the shower was well above expectations.
Looking forward to coming back soon

不喜欢 Satnav might take you too far down the road — I couldn’t see any sign saying ‘Garth Glamping this way,’ so keep an eye out for the green and yellow flags marking the right spot. It’s not the site’s fault, and the flags are really helpful once you see them, so still giving 10/10.

I also really appreciate your helpful note about the satnav directions. You’re right, it can sometimes send people too far down the road. For future guests reading this: we do send everyone a text on the day of arrival with detailed directions to help avoid any confusion, and those green and yellow flags are there as an extra marker once you’re close!

喜欢 Quiet site, not too busy.
Toilet and shower was amazing, proper ones and always clean
Kitchen area also amazing, it had everything there. Even a fridge and freezer for guests to use.
Owners were very friendly and helpful, with a lovely Doggy too.

不喜欢 A bit of an issue with the solar panels meant no power first thing in the morning, but the owners were quick to rectify it with a generator.

喜欢 Everything about this place is stunning and well thought out, we stayed in one of the pre-set up bell tents and the site is small for the moment but i got the impression its going to slowly be expanded upon, beautiful location and run by extremely friendly and helpful people, its "glamping" but its not over the top so it still feels like actual camping with extra comforts as opposed to an outdoor hotel (which is exactly what i would be looking for) there are train tracks very close with regular trains but they were barely noticeable and certainly not a bother, will absolutely be recommending and will be going back should the opportunity arises

不喜欢 a little out the way, there is a train station about a 20 min walk away and ubers can get there, not a dislike just a little awkward if you dont own your own transport and feel peckish at 11pm and didnt think to get supplies like us :P, many bugs... but its camping in the countryside so what do you expect :)

You’re right that the site is still small for now, but we do have plans to expand gradually while keeping that relaxed, intimate feel. And thank you for mentioning the trains and travel notes, it’s really helpful for other guests to know, hence the earplugs too!

I completely understand the challenges if you don’t have your own transport (and those late-night snack cravings!). Uber eats do deliver to the farm too! And yes, the bugs are definitely part of the countryside charm!

喜欢 We absolutely loved this place the owners were amazing they honestly couldn't do enough for us .... we stayed to see stereophonics on the Friday the hosts put on a mini bus return to Cardiff for a very reasonable fee. We had the best time and will definitely be going again! Even if it is a 7 hour drive away. We had a few unexpected surprises in our tent too marshmallows! And games for the children. It was such a beautiful place.
