喜欢: We absolutely loved our time at this campsite and are already looking forward to coming back. It struck the perfect balance of having everything you could need without feeling overdeveloped or crowded. The pitches were beautifully spaced out, giving everyone plenty of room and privacy. One detail we really appreciated was how families with children could keep an eye on the playground from their pitch – such a thoughtful layout!

We brought along our two golden retrievers and were so pleased with how dog-friendly the site was. The whole atmosphere across the weekend was warm, relaxed, and friendly – exactly what you hope for on a getaway. The facilities were spotless and clearly very well looked after, with staff regularly attending to them. There was even a small shop open in the mornings and evenings for essentials, which was super convenient.

Our pitch was spacious and easy to set up on – the ground was just right for pitching the tent. Everything about the stay made it feel like a perfect escape, and we’ve already talked about how it would be an ideal place to return to in the future, especially once we hopefully have a family of our own. The owner was absolutely lovely – friendly, helpful, and made us feel incredibly welcome from the start.

The location is also a solid 10/10 – just seven minutes from Bala Lake in car, which made it easy to head out for a paddle or a scenic walk and still be back in time to relax on-site. It's the perfect base for exploring the area while still enjoying peace and quiet at camp.

不喜欢: As for a couple of things to note – while the site itself was great with clear dog rules, we did come across one or two families who had their dog off-lead, which isn’t in line with the site’s policy. It’s a small thing, but as dog owners ourselves, we always appreciate when everyone follows the same guidelines for the comfort of all. And, we were also reassured by the site owner that she would have a quiet word with the family which we really appreciated.

Additionally, when we arrived, we were offered the option to pitch in a separate field that’s a little more secluded. While it would be perfect for those seeking a wilder, more back-to-nature feel, it just wasn’t quite our style. We feel that had we chosen to pitch there, we might not have enjoyed our stay quite as much, simply because we love being close to the heart of the site. That said, it’s a fantastic alternative for campers looking for more of a quiet retreat and could be right up someone's street!

喜欢: Everything clean fab loverly place so nice so coming back on 28 may weather hopefully nice we was lucky it was roasting spent time on camp site all facilities are fab spent time at Bala lake everything you need no party animals thanks goodness as not aloud she runs a tight family site it’s fab would recommend

不喜欢: People are sometimes rude visitors walking pass tent to close tripping over my ropes waking me up in nite but careless could of walked round to toilet other way as you can enter from both sides very small thing pitch 30 perfect spot no dislikes lady is fabulous Ellen thanks

喜欢: Stunning Canpsite, Clean, Well maintained, lovely owners !

Honestly could not fault it and will def return !

There is a little hill 100% a walk on a clear day sunset is stunning.

Campsite quiet after 10pm which was perfect.

Showers were spotless and hot ! Free wifi and a little shop on site.

Dog friendly - ( Dog waste bins everywhere which is fab )

喜欢: The site was really nice, friendly staff, pitched were really good size and nice layout.
Toilet and facilities were very clean and tidy and the hot water was very good for the showers.

On site shop was handy had essentials.

Plenty of space for the kids to run around.

不喜欢: Noisy group next door, adults out late, and kids up early.
Not enough to moan to owner about plus it was that cold over night couldn’t be bothered to move and accepted no matter what rules are in place some people are just ignorant.

Only other point I’d make reference too as caught me out why setting up and a middle of the night loo walk is the random rectangle holes in the ground, look like old fence posts or hook up box holes.
2 x decent sized holes on pitch 27.

喜欢: Lovely family friendly campsite. Facilities very clean. Pizza van on Friday night was very welcome and very tasty!
The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. Bala Lakes are beautiful as is the scenery all around. We had a lovely stay.

喜欢: Absolutely everything! Spotless campsite in a fabulous location.
Ever present campsite owners, who even brought a chocolate treat round for the children on Easter Sunday which was a lovely touch.
I have been coming to this campsite since I was a child and it just gets better and better.
We booked our next stay here before we’d even left this time and we can’t wait to come back!
