Hut Haf is a smart adults-only shepherd’s hut on a farm in the Flintshire countryside, 15 minutes’ drive from Holywell, Prestatyn and Talacre beach. This is a fine spot for a break that takes in country, coast and city, as there are lots of paths nearby for rural walks (with a dog at your heels if you’ve brought one along) and horse riding, and there’s easy access to beaches and coast walks or to the city of Chester, half an hour’s drive away. And it’s also a fine spot for relaxing by your cosy hut – there’s just the one here, so you’ll have plenty of space to spread out and take in the views over fields towards the sea. A firepit is just outside the hut, with a tripod set up over the top for guests who’d like to have a go at a bit of campfire cookery. Inside the off-grid hut is a kitchen with a two-ring gas hob, kettle, fridge and a good stack of cutlery and crockery. Other fittings include a woodburning stove (with logs provided), a small double bed and a bathroom with toilet, basin and full-sized shower.

喜欢 The quirky vibe and decor. Peaceful soundings. Hands off approach. Really lovely beautiful hut in an excellent location.

不喜欢 Wi-Fi wasn’t working but that we really minded. Could have used an extra glass and some store cupboard staples. Shower was cold.
