A combination of Irish Sea panoramas and the proximity of a choice of beaches for the kids makes Plas Y Wern an irresistible family-friendly Ceredigion camping choice. Set on seven acres of farmland high on a headland, the camping fields all share the same stunning coastal views, and when the skies are clear at dusk you can expect colourful sunsets over the waves as well. Your four-legged friends are welcome on site, and there’s a secure field for exercising them, plus lots of walkies options on several beaches within a short drive. In fact, there’s a bunch of stuff to do in the locality with or without dogs. Tresaith (10 minutes’ drive) offers up a sandy beach backed by a waterfall cascading down dramatic cliff sides. Kids can enjoy hours of rock pooling when the tide is out, or you can join the Ceredigion Coast Path for a jaunt along the clifftops. Other family days out might include dolphin-spotting cruises from New Quay (20 minutes) or a visit to the medieval cathedral in teeny St Davids (about an hour), the smallest city in Wales. When you return to home base in the evening, there’s the welcome prospect of refreshing in the power shower with bags of hot water. No need to worry about breakfast the following morning either, as you can pre-order ‘full Welsh’ packs of locally produced goodies for the family to fill up on. If you’re not big on self-catering, head for the pub in Tresaith or the eateries in Aberporth (10 minutes) to keep everyone well fed.

Very warm friendly welcome by Lianne and team, really helpful.
Good size pitches
Facilities high standard and immaculately clean
Great free WiFi, excellent tv signal

不喜欢: Grass/ sloped pitches, did struggle in the wet condition to get onto chocks.

toilet/ shower in one room so toilet is inaccessible when somebody is showering.

喜欢: The friendly welcome and fantastic view.
The shower was amazing and the bathroom spacious.

不喜欢: Nothing - but pitches not all level - may need to take levellers

喜欢: Lovely facilities, great that cars have a separate car park. Love that there are a limited number of pitches.
Amazing view, great links to main areas including a variety of beaches.
Dog friendly and a separate dog walking pen.

不喜欢: The toilet and shower are in the same room and there is only one of each.
Another toilet would be ideal
A slide or swing would be fab for kids.but there is plenty of space for them to run.

喜欢: Place, scenic views stunning scenery, really friendly host, great facilities

不喜欢: Uneven ground for the tent pitches, so on an angle for everything made it challenging for most everyday stuff, great if in caravan as they have wheel choks and on more even surface but tent area on slope
