Cruachan Farm Caravan and Camping Park

喜欢: Beautiful views. Clean and functional facilities. Quiet and lovely if you went exploring and on-site and amazing wildlife spotting, which we loved.

不喜欢: Check in procedure. I came with a caravan and had to go to the reception, 180 degree turn, back onto the road and back the way I came to get to the pitch. Could we maybe get our pitch number in advance or check in online?

Not criticisms but good to know:

Larger site with the reception block gets noisy with the hits of Taylor Swift belted out when we visited but plenty of quieter coves when you explored the woodland paths. Paths were slippy and muddy as you would expect in Scotland but good to be aware.

We needed our 25m electric hookup cable

Lovely countryside.

不喜欢: No communal areas to sit and relax. Couldn't find anywhere to charge telephones. Only 1 picknic bench for the camping area, and that's not safe. Toilets and showers just acceptable

喜欢: Toilets wash facilities all good and clean. Site clean and tidy very well kept. Easily visible from the road. Food,small.shop and reception within walking distance. Good site for a one night stop over.

不喜欢: No visible outdoor water source for campers. Conflicting information on arrival and departure times.booking co formation email said 2pm -11am when we arrived we were booked in for a 4pm arrival that we were not aware of and departure was now 10am ?. Very few flat grounded areas for pitching tents. "Path to the loch" was treacherous,dangerous and we were easily turned around in the heavily wooded area as no visable path to follow at times and no warning of very steep teraine.then to finaly arrive at the loch side to find there isn't even an area of ground to stand on just to stare thought the trees. Glad we were there as 2 adults and not as a family with our 3 kids. (Maybe sign post this).

喜欢: Location really nice lots of scenery and walks short drive to Killen the toilets and showers close to the pitch , good sized pitch as well

不喜欢: Having to go to the boathouse location to check in

喜欢: The campsite was great. The reception staff were very helpful, gave us a map and checked us in.
Small café on site and small walk down to see loch tay.
Only 5 mins to town where there is a co-op, coffee shops, foods.
The toilet/bathrooms are clean.

不喜欢: Small flies everywhere, but being near to a forest that is normal.

喜欢: The pitches were a good size. The toilet and shower block was lovely and clean, not too far away from pitch.

不喜欢: The path along to the main park with restaurant was very muddy and not very safe under foot. Perhaps they could extend the chips on the pitches to that path too enabling all to enjoy all amenities.

喜欢: The very friendly, warm welcome. Quiet.
We've stayed before. A great location and it's a lovely walk down through the woods to the Loch shore.
As it rained solidly for 24 hours. We were confined to barracks, as it were.
Great value for money.

不喜欢: Arriving at the site to find out we had to drive back out, back up the road to next door to check in and then drive back out down the road back next door to our pitch.
I do belive this will be sorted soon.
The same for the aged toilet block.

喜欢: Great site - good facilities plus Boathouse Bar on site by water. Fantastic cafe on site for breakfast.
