喜欢: Lovely owners with nice attitude-site not full of rules as some are. Free to choose own pitch, great views from all places. We were welconed at 1pm to set up & use facilities (we did our laundry) before reception opened at 4pm. Best shower we've had all trip.... been travelling 3weeks by this stop.
We did a great cycle ride down to the loch. We keen birdwatchers & saw 2 x golden eagles too.
£22.50 via pitchup.com for van 2 adults, dogs free. Pitchup.com informative and nice & easy to use.

不喜欢: Nothing to complain about. Just a basic sensible campsite at a good price.

喜欢: Excellent location with great views. The communal kitchen area was heated which was welcome, and it was well equipped with fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and bar stools. Likewise, the toilets were heated and kept very clean. The showers were blisfully powerful and hot.

不喜欢: Although electric hookup was available, this does not suit those arriving by foot or bicycle where a means of charging small electrical items (phones, bike computers, watches, lights etc) would be greatly appreciated.

喜欢: The location overlooking Loch Shin, on a slightly elevated pitch was outstanding, with well maintained grass and soft ground. On a wild day the site might be slightly exposed. Midges were not a problem due to a slight breeze. The lady receptionist was friendly and helpful.

Yes the showers are world class jet washes.

不喜欢: There could have been bins and recycling at the toilet block area.

A few of my fellow travellers complained of a lack of mobile phone charging points, a few bank of USB sockets in the kitchen would be useful for some.

A major downside for me is the level of chlorine in the drinking water, which made tea loose all flavour, on the upside I never contracted a stomach upset. I filled my water bottles for cycling, but replaced with bottled water at Lairg.

A Wi-Fi system would be good, to match hotels.

When booking ahead using Pitch up, the website charges for two people, with no ability to change to solo, but when paid at the campsite the solo rate is £5 cheaper.

Unfortunately, we need to store our bins where the lorry is able to get in to empty them as they are too big and heavy to move which is limiting on where they can be placed.

We are looking into charging lockers in the kitchen and are hoping to have a wifi area for next season. This is the first time we have been told about the water so will bare that in mind

喜欢: Everything about this site is fantastic. Can't fault it, I will be returning for sure. Perfect location to explore the Highlands from. Brilliant communication, hot showers with fantastic pressure, clean facilities and very friendly / safe. Beautiful panoramic views - it's truly lovely. Felt like home from home. Like Wild Camping but with all the facilities you need.

The site is on a gentle ridge which will normally have a breeze and do be midge free!
The toilet block was clean - spotless - showers hot and great water pressure

We were a group of three motorhomes and a tent and we were pitched together
Showers and toilets blocks spotless and hit water and water pressure to die for! Being situated on a ridge midge risk is minimal
