喜欢 On arrival was greeted by a friendly lady, Lauren’s mum. She came to say hello once I and my nephew Noah chose our pitch in the large open field.
Although the facilities are basic and minimal (one shower, 2 toilets) they were well maintained and spotlessly clean.
We bought fire wood from on-site which was helpful and we borrowed a fire pit (free of charge)
The site is so peaceful and tranquil.
Hop in the car and within 5 minutes you can get to a cafe, a Chinese takeout, pizza and kebab shops, convenience store and cash machine.
Only one hour drive from Paisley, Renfrewshire.
Happy fellow camping neighbours.
I will definitely return (maybe without the dogs) and will recommend to other campers on social media platforms.

不喜欢 A bit restricted for my two dogs, the two access gates (one into the woodland and the other over the stream) were too overgrown and it was impossible to walk there, we had to turn back instantly. As I didn’t want to leave the site to find an alternative walk for the dogs it just meant they didn’t get a good run of their leads (not the end of the world, just me being picky)
The electric fence; on two occasions I had to shout to Noah (8 years) to remind him of the fence as he was extremely close to it! He was trying to send pictures of the horses to his mum. This could perhaps be an issue for small children running around freely enjoying themselves.

喜欢 Nice location, and even though it was busy, the site was still quiet and chilled.

Plenty of other families and the kids made some new friends.

Warm welcome when we arrived and the facilities were nice and clean.

Would 100% stay here again.

来自经理: Our site was quiet during your stay simply because most people had checked the weather forecast and seen that torrential rain was due, which naturally put many off camping that weekend. That said, many of our guests love the peace and quiet our site offers, it's one of the things they appreciate most when choosing to stay with us.

We’re a back-to-basics pop-up campsite and small motorhome aire, and we clearly advertise that's what we are. We currently provide two toilets and one hot shower, which we maintain to a high standard, and they’re generally well-received by guests who understand our style of camping.

The only request I made during your visit was to please pitch closer to the entrance, rather than the far end of the field, purely due to the heavy rain forecast, a practical suggestion to avoid getting stuck, not an imposition of unnecessary rules.

I also offered you the option to park your motorbikes on our hardstanding near the house, as the ground was likely to soften with the rain. This offer has always been appreciated by other bikers as a way to avoid their bikes toppling on wet grass, and it was made with the best intentions. I’m sorry if it came across differently to you.

While I appreciate that our site might not be for everyone, it sounds like you might prefer a busier, full-facility more expensive campsite, which may be a better fit for your future travels.

喜欢 Owners were lovely, we were running late and they very happy to send us late arrival info.
Toilets and shower were really nice, shower was a turn on/turn off, not a push button so better than most sites.
Nature around was lovely even on a rainy day.

喜欢 Beautiful calm, quiet site, lovely friendly host. Delightful horses to watch, lovely clean toilets and the ability to recycle wastes rather than just dump everything in landfill bin (some campsites are still like that).

喜欢 Really easy to find. Lauren was super friendly. Camping field was really well maintained as were the toilets and shower. Lovely and quiet with great views and woodland walks for the dog. Great wee overnight stay.
