Guests return season after season to serene Osmington Mills Corner Campsite in its Dorset coast setting just outside the village of Osmington: it's been family run for over 60 years and has Dorset site stays down pat. Spacious pitches, room for kids to run around, and scenic views towards Weymouth four miles away are the secrets of its success, along with a peaceful rural vibe, restaurants nearby, and the site's closeness to the sea, a mile from the beaches of the Jurassic Coast. You can easily access the region's spectacular walks from here too, as a footpath leads from the site to the coast to connect with the South West Coast Path. (Or if that's a no thanks to the walk, a bus stop is just outside the site with services running to Weymouth.) Osmington has toilets, showers, a washing-up area and the means for ice pack freezing and gadget charging. A shop is next door to the site, and pubs and restaurants are within walking distance.

喜欢 Everyone was very friendly, the site was quiet and you could pitch up anywhere. We really liked this site and would definitely use again.

喜欢 Great site with really friendly owners. Decent clean facilities on site, bus stop right outside to go into Weymouth and a great location for a walk along the coastal path to Durdledoor, Lulworth or Weymouth. If you can pry yourself away from the Smugglers Inn.

喜欢 Great location and price was reasonable, facilities were good and those working on site were nice!

不喜欢 The showers weren't the most powerful if we had to pick a dislike but didn't bother us!

喜欢 Easy check in, cheap and had everything we needed

不喜欢 There was some very loud music nearby that kept us awake but nothing they campsite could do about that

喜欢 The campsite worked perfect for us as a one night stop, plenty of room pick your own pitch.
The couple that own and run the site were very helpful and friendly, shower and toilet block were very clean at all times.
Also had a little shop with coffee etc which was a great idea.

不喜欢 The shower and toilet block could be up dated but, all in good working order and clean which is more important than being flash!

喜欢 The staff were incredibly lovely and informative. We forgot some of our equipment and they were quick to help us. They also gave us great advice on what to do in the area.

Get out onto the South West Coast Path close to the site, try your hand at fishing for Dorset mackerel, canter along the coast on horseback, take a boat out, or up the ante with some kayaking or zorbing… all available nearby. Weymouth, four miles away, has been a famed Dorset seaside spot since Georgian times and these days has stacks to do such as sailing and surfing (several surf schools are around if you're just starting out), a long sandy beach and a Sea Life Centre, miniature railway and RSPB reserve above the town at Lodmoor Country Park. More famed Dorset days can be had with fossil hunting on Chesil Beach, six miles away, and taking in the sight of spectacular Durdle Door at Lulworth Cove, within seven miles of the site. You could also chatter with the inhabitants of Monkey World, see the swans at the award-winning Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens, or steam along to the Tank Museum at Bovington, all reachable within 10 miles.
