Deer in a wildlife haven, ancient oaks in a wide green field, and manor house views on a secluded Dorset site… be tremendously sensible and book Trigon Farm as soon as poss. Set in a rural field near Wareham with views of Trigon Manor house and arable fields to the left and beyond, this is a fab site for families: hidden away from main roads and traffic, with stacks of space for running around and big scope for mini nature hunters to roam around and spot deer, buzzards and woodpeckers. There are cows to spy too, as Trigon is on a beef cattle farm with the farming part of the site across the estate; the curious can watch the Trigon cows laze about in the adjoining fields and see the workings of everyday farming all around. Off site, it's a few miles to Wareham from here (Monkey World is a must), and less than half an hour's drive to spectacular Dorset beaches at Studland and Swanage. And by evening? As befits a site such as this, firepits and barbecues are allowed – so sort your supplies and sit back to snuggle up under the stars. Your closest pitstops for stocking up are the convenience shop and mini market at the Carey Road entrance to Trigon two miles down the lane; much more can be sorted in Wareham's shops and supermarkets or at its Saturday market. Amenities include four huts with flushing toilets, four shower huts with free hot water, a washing-up area, drinking water taps, and rubbish and recycling bins. The farm has a phone signal as well as 3G and 4G.

喜欢: This campsite is so peaceful, so quiet, so clean and just altogether brilliant. It is the second visit we have made and we intend to go again next year.
We spoke to Rob who told us they allow a maximum capacity of 28 pitches which is what they had whilst we were there. We absolutely loved this because it meant the place was quiet, with plenty of space between pitches, and was just perfect for the two of us who were going to have a relaxing break prior to our wedding!
The toilets and showers are spacious. They are clean and well looked after.

喜欢: Very relaxed! Lovely campsite, clean and safe. Felt more than comfortable for my children to take rubbish to the bins and go to the loos on their own.
Hosts are super friendly and pop by each day. We camped here last year and I’m sure will continue to do so.
The setting is beautiful & there is lots of space to set up camp

喜欢: Great hosts, hot water, clean & tidy site with lots of space to pitch your tent!

不喜欢: Not a dislike but would be useful if they could offer freezing ice packs to help keep food fresh & reduce trips to the shop

喜欢: The camp sight is unique and in a beautiful setting, the showers & washing facilities are extremely clean

喜欢: Great little pop up site. Lovely shower and toilet cubicles. Will never get too busy as they limit the number of pitches so youve always got space. Lovely owners who come and see you every day too!

I felt confident that my children could go to the bins/toilet confidently without me as there were lots of other families staying.

Make sure you see Carey's Secret Garden which is only 1.5 miles (walkable) from the site too.

喜欢: Very spacious, easy to find a good pitch, not too crowded. Nice and clean showers, toilets and other facilities. Very pleasant owners, pre-installed a log burner and brought pre-ordered wood logs soon after we pitched the tent. Kids loved tattoo services and the large territory - a lot of room to play with kids from other families.

喜欢: Wasn't crowded, good location, friendly owners, toilets and showers kept clean. Never got tired of the swallows swooping across the field.

不喜欢: Hot water dropped in and out of showers a bit, but that is really only issue. Would definitely return.

喜欢: Beautiful views, tranquil and lots of space around pitch. Showers fantastic and immaculately clean toilets and vanity area. Easy to drive into Wareham and lots to do and see within half hour or less drive. Lots of great walks nearby. Jayne the owner so helpful and friendly atmosphere on site lovely.

Clean toilet and shower block throughout our stay.
Washing up and sinks all outside which is great in the warm weather.
(not so nice in the rain)
Plenty of space between all tents.
Quiet spot with nature around you. My children loved watching the cows and hearing all the nature around us.
The children's tattoos were a great addition.
Being able to rent a firepit and materials is good fun.

不喜欢: Advice, be careful, lots of wasps, but the staff couldn't do anything about that.

Can be windy so take a windbreak.

If using a satnav, please set it to Carey Road BH20 4AX then follow that road up past the Spa Supermarket and keep on it until it narrows into a tarmac lane with the national speed limit sign. As well as its shops – and pubs – Wareham, three miles away, has a pretty quay for picnic spots, a cinema and a public swimming pool, and is the starting point for boat trips to spectacular Poole Harbour. Wareham golf club is less than 10 minutes' drive from the farm. Hikers should head to the nearby Purbeck Hills or the Dorset Downs (part of the southern England Chalk Group that also includes Salisbury Plain and the South Downs). Top spots for adventuring and exploring days include the famed Old Harry Rocks, Lulworth Cove and Lulworth Castle – and if your junior adventurers are of the Enid Blyton variety, they'll like a look at Corfe Castle too, said to be the inspiration for Kirrin Castle in the Famous Five books. More walking, as well as cycling, can be sorted at the Sika Trail, two miles away.
