喜欢 the location, the peace and local village just a short walk away has a fantastic pub called The Union Inn serving delicious food. Met one of the owners who was lovely . facilities are a bonus and the robins popping in for a bite to eat from your hands is a bit special. late nights by the firepit with a glass of whatever you like makes for a great stay

喜欢 We had a lovely 1 night stay here as a treat for our 8 year son that adores forests. It was a really lovely and unique set up that feels like wild camping (but luckily has toilets and showers :D). They have designed the tent pitches so that you get a lovely private space with beautiful trees arching over and around. The lovely friendly owners should be very proud :D

喜欢 I really loved how each pitch was individually nestled in the woods, it felt peaceful, private, and connected to nature.

The location is great for exploring the beautiful South Devon coast, and the facilities were clean and well kept.

不喜欢 I appreciate that the site is off-grid (which was one of the reasons we chose it), but the brown toilet water was a bit off-putting, maybe a filtration system to keep the water clearer would help?
Also, the rule requiring dogs to be on a lead at all times felt a little restrictive. While I completely understand the need for responsible dog ownership, a rule focused on keeping dogs under control — rather than strictly on-lead — might offer a better balance, especially for well-trained dogs.

I know the camp is only in its second season, and I’m sure there are lots of plans for future development, the beautiful woodland setting feels like the perfect spot for a tree swing or two — maybe even a small treehouse or den area for the kids to enjoy. It would add a lovely extra touch for families

Regarding the toilet water, we completely understand how the brown colouring might seem off-putting. This is due to the natural mineral content in the harvested rain water rather than a cleanliness issue. We do use chlorine tablets in the tanks and clean the toilets thoroughly every day with additional freshening tablets. That said, we’re always looking at ways to improve, and a filtration system is something we’ll certainly consider as we develop the site further.

As for our dog policy, we truly appreciate your thoughts. While we do welcome dogs, not all guests are comfortable around them, and we’ve had to adopt a lead-at-all-times rule to make sure everyone feels safe and relaxed. That said, we understand your point about well-trained dogs, and we’ll take your suggestion into consideration as we review our policies.

喜欢 Peaceful and unique woodland setting. Clean and thoughtful facilities. Friendly staff who are on hand if needed but happy to leave you to it.

Thought everything on the site was really well thought out.
We had a converted camper and put pitch was lovely and private with plenty of space. The wildlife and birds were lovely too, very peaceful site with lovely owners too.

喜欢 Great camp site for having a private woodland camping feel. Pitches are well spread out and you’re provided with a fire pit 👍
Toilets and showers are off grid and basic but fine if you are prepared for that sort of thing.
A friendly welcome and helpful advice about the local area.
Would stay again!!

喜欢 The privacy of the pitch and the beautiful forest. The owners were lovely , friendly and helpful. Just a beautiful place to stay and we will be coming again
