Fire Beacon Camping

喜欢: We loved the location, the stars sunset and moon was amazing, it was quite and relaxing.

Composting toilets where not smelly although maybe some lavender hanging in there may be nice addition Incase seats are left up.

不喜欢: The only shower there was on site didn't stay a warm temperature on day one and on day two it only heated UpTo 15 degrees max and turning its self off, the last day it didn't work at all. Would of thought as it's an outside open air shower it is important it runs at a warm temperature.

Had to provide own water or pay for it onsite due to no drinking water, there was no hot water at all to do dishes either.

Rather than wheelbarrow to get camping equipment to and fro car a festival trolly type thing would of been helpful especially as the fields on a slope

来自经理: Firstly I can only apologise that the shower was temperamental during your stay, at one point you said it was too hot! This was mainly due to the inclement weather.
The first line of our description does say we are a wild campsite & as such means we have basic facilities, which would not include hot water for washing up.
Also I am sorry you didn't read about the facilities onsite before you booked, as you would have seen, we don't have drinking water onsite. As a 'pop up' campsite it is not financially viable to have a filtration system & pay for water testing.
Thank you for your suggestion of a festival trolley for guests to transport their gear, this is something we will look into for next season.

The hosts are perfect - space or chat, you get what you seek.
Lovely: view, take a shower when it's raining, a barn owl swooped past our heads, ...

喜欢: Quiet location, environmentally friendly approach, friendly welcome from KT and Ricardo, fantastic views.
There is a composting loo and outdoor shower, the ability to hire a fire pit and buy wood. If you like a "back to nature" approach to camping then this site is definitely worth a look.

喜欢: A really warm welcome from Ricardo and Katie. They have everything you need for a campfire, spotless compost loos, stunning views, environmentally thoughtful, no cars next to pitches and beautiful meadow in the centre of the site.

喜欢: This is a remarkable off the beaten track site. Offering you Nature in abundance. A beautiful natural meadow, stars a plenty and incredibly warm and welcoming hosts in KT and Ricardo. Nothing is too much for them to make you feel very comfortable. An absolute must to stay here, especially as it is so safe for children.

喜欢: Fantastic stay at Fire Beacon Camping. Very warm welcome and what a great location. Atmosphere was just what was ordered.

Basic but perfectly acceptable facilities and the weather was great.

Couldn't ask for more from this quiet campsite.

喜欢: Camping grounds nice, well maintained and pretty even, food compost, recycling bins and sink for washing up. Owners pleasant

不喜欢: Toilets though clean are composting (fab for environment!) so pretty un fragrant
