不喜欢: The site is on a slope and allocated pitch was not going to work for our motorhome. We managed to move to a different pitch which allowed us to get our motorhome level. Site manager was helpful.
Be aware the pub and beach are down a long steep hill so be prepared for a tough walk back

The site is slightly sloped with the flatter areas set aside for Motorhomes and we do try in less busy times if possible to give our visitors a choice of where they would like to pitch.

Field has a slight slope in places but several more level areas.

喜欢: Everything! We had a little field by the office all to ourselves which was perfect for our 7 year old daughter. Plenty of space to run around and had a gate we could close.

The showers are lovely and hot with good pressure, communal fridge freezer, electric on the pitch worked perfectly and they even offer free wifi.

Lindsey and the owner were very friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble, we enjoyed our chats getting to know the owner!. We will definitely come back! Thank you a lovely stay!

不喜欢: The weather, unfortunately we had to leave a day early because of the weather. The owner (a lovely man) drove his car in to help block some of the wind as we were packing down.

喜欢: Beautiful, quiet location with stunning views. Clean, tidy toilet/shower block & washing up area. Fantastic idea of a communal fridge & freezer with 24hr access. Great for exploring the local beaches, fishing villages, larger towns & the Donkey Sanctuary. Always a friendly welcome & nothing is too much bother for the staff/owners.

We do state on our website and sites we advertise on that our facilities are Basic and Rustic. The showers are in a wooden block, kept clean and tidy with plenty of hot running water. We have many people come and stay with us on a regular basis coming back year after year as they love our basic site and facilities.

喜欢: Lovely, quiet site with beautiful views over the countryside. It suited us well.
There was nobody at reception when we arrived, but there was a phone number on the door to call. We were advised to head on in and park our moho wherever we liked. There were quite a few seasonal vans with the best views, but we found a lovely spot looking down over the valleys (although we later spotted that there were 2 fields open and if we had carried on further into the site, we literally would have had the place to ourselves, so it's worth doing a reccy before you park up). The site seemed exceptionally quiet, especially given that it was school Easter holidays. The site is on a slope, so ramps are required. We didn't used the loos, showers or washing up area, but they all looked ok. The chemical waste area was easy to use and was nice and clean.
It's a very steep walk up and down to Branscombe, but totally worth it to reach The Mason's Arms pub, which did the best Sunday roast ever! The entrance to the site looks like it has just been renewed and access was very easy.

不喜欢: It was a bit odd having the owner driving up and down the site multiple times per day, but I think there was some work going on in the top field, so maybe he was supervising that. He was very friendly to us anyway.

The owner was supervising the work in the top field hence why he drove up and down the site multiple times. He does like to be friendly to the guests when he's out and about and keeps an eye on the site. We look forward to seeing you again.

喜欢: Lovely peaceful spot, friendly owners and cute newborn lambs! Showers were clean and warm.

不喜欢: Mislead into thinking we could get a bus 5 mins walk down the lane. Not the case it was a mile and a half down hill along narrow road to nearest bus stop. Would not have booked if we'd known this

You were not mislead at all. The Bus could be caught 5 mins walk from the site but unfortunately the Council recently changed the route therefore 10 - 15 mins walk from the site and we were unaware of this. To catch the bus at present you do not need to go down any hills and it is just a little further on from where the bus picked up originally, not even a miles walk. We are in the process of contacting the Council to get the route changed back to its original one.
