Everyone in… it’s time for a beach break on the edge of Exmoor National Park. From Watermouth Valley Camping Park, a five-minute walk will get you to Watermouth Bay, where there’s fabulous rock fishing, good launching facilities and spectacular coastal walks. That’s not all, believe it or not. The Victorian town of Ilfracombe is 10 minutes’ drive away and surfing beaches such as Woolacombe beach (25 minutes’ drive) and Croyde beach (35 minutes) are also within driving distance. Further on, characterful Lynton and Lynmouth (half an hour) can be found too. Of course, the site is right on the South West Coast Path around North Devon, so it’s a very wise base for hiking fans (just pick up a map of the local area from the site’s shop). What about Watermouth Valley Camping Park itself? Well, the family-run, dog-friendly site has sea views and a sheltered valley where guests can relax and take in the scenery. There’s a children’s adventure playground for kids to let off steam, a handy on-site shop and a modern, clean amenities block with hot showers and electric points for hair dryers, straighteners and razors. The site gets very popular with families during the school summer holidays (May through to September), but at other times, it’s quiet and peaceful and attracts couples and solo travellers.

不喜欢: Bit of a climb back from toilet could, could do with one at top of hill. Disappointed they did not have the spare at top of hill open

喜欢: Absolutely lovely campsite very well kept and extremely friendly. Beautiful view and very close to excellent beaches would definitely recommend and come again!

不喜欢: Loved everything only slight dislike was the toilet block was not very close to our pitch so getting to it when raining/dark was a slight pain

喜欢: Our first time staying here and had a lovely time! The views from the camping field were amazing. The facilities were clean and the staff were friendly and approachable. The kids loved the goats and the park. There is plenty to do nearby aswell.

不喜欢: The steps down to the beach are closed because of a landslide but that's obviously not the campsites fault.

喜欢: Wgat a great experience we had in Watermouth Valley Camping Park!
We spent 3 nights there in our tent on a sea view slopy grass pitch. WE HAD AN AMAZING SEA VIEW FROM OUR TENT!

The campsite is very well organised, clean and cosy. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

There's a small shop with all essentials at the reception and coffee machine (£2 per coffee).

Toilets and showers were super clean all the time, but busy in mornings and evenings. Water was pleasantly warm :)

Every night different hot food was available: pizza, curry, jacket potatoes etc. Lovely small bar open every evening. Good prices too!

There's a great playpark for the kids; small football pitch, table tennis, kids' pool tables. Our both boys (9 and 14) loved it!

There are small phone/power bank charging lockers available too. £3 per day or £10 per weekend.

喜欢: The plot sizes are massive, big enough to fit multiple tents, gazebos etc. the facilities are great - clean toilets, good range of food, well stocked shop, live music and a bar! And a massive dog walking area and great park for children - couldn't have asked for more

喜欢: The location of the campsite, the views, the birds signing in the morning. Kids playing make it feel so homy in there.
The fact that campsite is. Located to the south path as well, close to everywhere
Food and bar everything is great in there.
We really love our stayed we be back .
Definitely we found our place for future camps. Just can't fault it anything in there.

喜欢: Site was perfectly located, whilst is quite big, didn’t feel overcrowded. Showers were always clean and hot and the food van was amazing! Pitch was a really good size

喜欢: clean showers and toilets (plenty available), a freezer available for ice packs in the washup area, a games section, great location and views, a food and a drinks van, and a small essentials shop on site

Time to tick off the North Devon coves and harbours? Start with splendid Combe Martin (five minutes’ drive), a seaside resort with a sheltered cove for peaceful days on the sand. Surfers might want to slide on over to Saunton Sands (half an hour), while those seeking scenic clifftop hikes will get on well with the Valley of Rocks’ (35 minutes) wild goats and sea views. Take off on a fishing trip or a sea safari from Ilfracombe Harbour (10 minutes). Lundy Island is one of the most popular tour spots for such boat trips. There’s a working lifeboat station in the harbour too if that sort of stuff entertains you. Once you’ve checked out the lifeboats, turn back time a little with a trip to Arlington Court (20 minutes), a National Trust site with a Regency house and a carriage museum. Or perhaps all the way back to the time of dinosaurs? Kids are likely to love the life-sized dino models at Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park (10 minutes) and its zoo and fossil museum.
