喜欢: We have just got back from a stay here and we had the best time. The campsite isn't too big with two fields to choose from. We were able to choose our own spot. As the weather was bad we put our tent close to some hedges along the top of the field which helped protect us from the wind. It is on a slight slope but there is a lovely view from the fields and it is very peaceful. It is a great place to chill out and recharge.

The facilities were great for a small campsite. The showers were clean and hot and the compost toilets were clean with plenty of loo roll. There is a place for recycling but we took the rest of our rubbish with us when we went out. The little shop area sells wood and kindling. It has plugs for charging phones and a communal freezer. There is also a wash up area and water tap in the field.

Oli was very friendly and introduced himself when we got there. He checked we were ok during our stay and offered advice and places to visit. The location was great, with beaches and woodland walks nearby. There are supermarkets in the town too. The entrance to the campsite isn't too obvious though so keep an eye out on the road.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this campsite for a quiet and peaceful place to camp.

喜欢: Great views, excellent and clean facilities, and the pigs!

不喜欢: Not much really, it's close to an airfield so I guess some might find the air traffic (smaller planes only) a little annoying.

喜欢: Excellent views in a lovely setting. Uncrowded. Basic well maintained facilities though as advertised. Ideal for one night stopover en route to Cornwall.

不喜欢: Close to an airfield with the noise from small planes flying overhead continuous until the early evening; rather spoiled the tranquility of an otherwise perfect location.

喜欢: If you want total isolation, then this could be the place for you. Nobody else there, when I was there, so it was just me, in a field...

Nothing wrong with that, just not what I was after at this point in time, so for me, I didn't really like it and moved on to Dartmoor after one night only.

You may well like it, if that's what you want.

来自经理: A 4/10 review! that's pretty bad... but what exactly have we done wrong... we aren't quite sure. Kelvin doesn't seem to understand that by giving us a low rating he might exacerbate exactly the thing that has him so unimpressed: namely that the low rating will put people off coming here thus making us even more quiet! Check out his other reviews to enjoy some more complaints that blame campsite owners for things completely out of their hands - crowing crows! oh dear. Luckily most people come here exactly for the peace and quiet, so in a way Kelvin has done us a favour by highlighting this. lol

喜欢: The view was stunning, it was peaceful, the owners were very helpful when we needed a lighter and a couple of other bits we’d forgotten!! The showers were clean and hot! The compost toilets were always clean.
We loved the site and will definitely go back! Thank you

喜欢: Everything! The site when we arrived had some beautiful views, we were able to choose where we pitched our tent from a choice of two spacious fields. The facilities were amazing, showers and toilets kept clean and tidy and there were areas to do washing up too. Would definitely recommend and will be returning to this campsite again!
