Camping @ Croyde Bay

喜欢: Spacious pitches, thoughtful positioning of new arrivals as to ensure everyone was spread out. Clean and well maintained. Level pitches with electric was fantastic, they even had spare extension cables and leveling blocks if you needed them. Toilets and showers were basic but always clean, so wouldn’t ask for more. Wetsuit drying area, outside hot tap for sandy feet, hair dryers/strainers in the women’s changing room, fresh coffee/tea/hot chocolate available and communal freezers were a great touch. Location was excellent, 5 min walk or less to pubs shops and restaurants, 10-15 minutes to the north end of the beach. Would definitely stay again. Beautiful views. Simple recycling points.

不喜欢: Road noise was quite loud when on the top pitch, however, this couldn’t be helped, and the views from this area made up for it! Could have a baby changing facility as there wasn’t one. Anti-slip mats were needed in the shower when trying to shower with a baby

Staff were very friendly and a very handy tea and coffee machine in the reception hut!!
WI-FI being included and able to hire a surfboard at the camp site was a real bonus!

来自经理: Thank you for your ten out of ten review. For clarification; We are, a level 10 min walk to the beach. We are fortunate to have a pavement beside the main road and an off-road footpath is also nearby, from the centre of the beach to the centre of the village. I hope to see you again soon. Stu.

喜欢: The campsite is geared up for surfing and just a 5 minute walk to the beach, lovely hot outdoor shower to rinse sandy wetsuits and body’s (including a wetsuit drying area) and nice hot showers within the toilet block, in the ladies there is a full length mirror, hair dryers and straighteners to get ready for evenings in the village.
Free use of chest freezers and the washing up liquid dispenser is a nice touch at the washing station. It is a quiet campsite so no music or radio which is nice when you want to sleep.

喜欢: Lovely quiet campsite, 10 mins walk to the beach. Good facilities that were clean throughout our stay. Also had surfboard hire just £10 for 24 hours!

喜欢: The cleanliness of the facilities/the facilities themselves (hairdryers, straighteners, free charging ports), the location is absolutely perfect, 5 min walk to local pubs and shops, 10-15min walk to the beach! The onsite manager (Stu) was so helpful with sorting a late checkout and also lending us some bits that we had forgotten! He also offers surfboards and bodyboards to rent for the day which is very inexpensive. The whole atmosphere is nice, chill and quiet with a range of age groups & families staying there. Everyone was super welcoming and we cannot complain about the price/facilities/location,

喜欢: Close to beach, onsite WiFi - this was a godsend as my teen got bored very quickly! Pubs were very cosy and welcoming although completely packed out as weather was bad

不喜欢: Very busy campsite with no real amenities but a basic wood shower/toilet block. Croyde itself only has 2-3 shops and a couple of pubs so 2 nights was plenty for us. We didn’t eat out as it was far too busy. Sadly the weather was terrible so not anything to do so my teenager was very bored!
I had to end up paying even more for my daughter and electric! So it cost over £80 for just 2 nights! Very pricey indeed for a basic campsite. Not one for us again I’m afraid but ideal for surfers!

P.S. You booked for 1 adult and a child (no electric). You arrived with 2 adults and a child and added electric hook-up. I discounted things for you as a gesture because of the confusion.
