Legend has it that mothers used to visit Holywell Bay to bathe their ailing children in the healing waters of the sacred spring hidden in the rocks, but whether or not you believe in ancient myths, you’ll most likely find a stay here restorative. It’s one of the best beaches in Cornwall, with jawdropping views, golden sands, good surf, and rockpools that make for perfect paddling – and lucky guests at Holywell Bay Holiday Park have direct access down a short path through the rolling dunes. Holywell Bay Holiday Park offers great facilities for its size: a whopping 300-foot waterslide for a screamworthy splashdown into the heated outdoor pool (open from May to mid-September); a toddlers’ pool; all-weather sports courts; adventure playgrounds for different ages; and an indoor soft play area. Pint-sized campers will be enthralled by the Starland Krew, who lead the lively kids’ club activities for tots to 10 year olds. Have a wander along the nature trails to make the most of the spectacular surrounds, then reward yourself with a Costa coffee on the outdoor terrace of the Ellenglaze Bar and Grill, which dishes up a range of grub to suit all tastes. Singers, magicians, stand-up comedians and quizzes will keep the whole family entertained during the evenings.

喜欢: Proximity to the beach

不喜欢: Shower and toilet block were tatty, and not kept very clean. Dead flys around wash basins and dirty floors even in the shower. So as soon as you step away from the shower to dry off, your feet will get muddy again.

喜欢: Lovely site well maintained, close to beach (5 mins walk) all facilities you need, ladies shower/ toilets were ok, done the job. Ladies serving in the shop we’re absolutely lovely, friendly informative and couldn’t have been more helpful ( they deserve recognition 100%)
Beautiful thatched pub almost next door and also one on the top of the beach with a cafe attached to it as well. Site was quiet ( touring) at the time we went . Fair sized outdoor pool water was very warm , sunbeds available and life guards on duty. No phone signal at all, this made a lovely change our phones not ringing at all, added to the rest we needed

不喜欢: Club house serves food , they advertise on the menus on most tables, breakfast lunch and dinner , also advertised on the app, but no lunches served at all and 1 bar staff member couldn’t cared less when asked about this or what type of curry was available out of interest.Quite pricey for drinks too. Pitches were level and spaced apart just right .

喜欢: The staff were all very nice and it’s a short walk to the beach, which was gorgeous.

不喜欢: The site is run down, it could do with a few pennies spent on it. The wi-fi is difficult to get on and there is no signal if you did need to stay in touch with anyone.

喜欢: The site was kept clean, good facilities, 5/10 minute walk to a beautiful beach, heated pool was perfect, slide was ok and good for kids, night entertainment was good enough for us

不喜欢: No phone signal, WiFi on site was terrible and only available down at the bar. Mainly because the kids go on their phones.
The mens toilets smelt really bad of urine (they were clean but just stank) and the kids arcades could of had some better games to play instead of just ticket machine based games.
But still a great site to stay on and would stay again

There’s a small fun park in Holywell Bay itself, with bumper boats, karting and the like, plus an 18-hole pitch and putt course. A short drive inland will bring you to the popular Dairyland Farm World, which also has good indoor facilities for rainy days, and the Lappa Valley Steam Railway, where three miniature railway lines wend their way through pretty parkland. Seven miles along the coast from Holywell Bay Holiday Park is Newquay: not just for surfers, it’s stuffed with fun things to do for the whole family, including a good zoo and aquarium. Otherwise, you’re well placed to explore some of Cornwall’s top attractions, such as Tintagel Castle, the Crealy Great Adventure Park, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. For souvenirs that are guaranteed to go down well with the folk back home, try Healey’s Cornish Cyder Farm, where you can take a tractor ride through the beautiful orchards before stocking up on scrumpy, jam and other goodies in the farm shop.
