The grass pitches at Cokes Farm are peaceful, rural and part of a family farm in the tiny hamlet of West Burton, in the southern stretch of the South Downs National Park. About 10 minutes’ drive away from Pulborough, you’ll be well away from traffic noise and street lights, and in a very good spot for walks and bike rides by day and stargazing by night (the South Downs are recognised as a dark sky park so the starry displays should be pretty good). Those walks/rides might just take you over to the village, or they might take you up onto the top of the Downs for views out towards Brighton and the Isle of Wight. For a closer look at the sea, you can reach the coast with a drive of about 20 minutes. The South Downs Way is just over half a mile's walk away along a bridleway. The facilities on site extend to a small shed with hot-water showers and a flushing toilet. One of the real highlights is the farm shop, which sells eggs, bacon, fruit and veg (along with detergents for the inevitable washing-up). A firepit is provided if you’d like to have a go at barbecue cooking. Anything you can’t buy on site should be available in the shops of the local towns – as well as Pulborough, Arundel, Petworth and Storrington are all within a 15-minute drive. There are plenty of eateries in those towns too, or you could head to the local pub, a 20-minute stroll away.

喜欢 I can't describe my experience at Cakes Farm in words. My arrival was smooth, and the place itself spoke for itself. The bathrooms were super clean and well-maintained by the owner. Drinking water was easily accessible. The atmosphere was family-friendly and inviting. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant place.

喜欢 I spent two nights at this campsite and absolutely loved it! Everything was so well looked after and organised. The site is big enough that it never feels crowded, and the owner made sure everyone had plenty of space. Each pitch had its own fire pit, which made evenings under a sky full of stars truly magical.

The surroundings are beautiful — with sheep and chickens nearby and a big vegetable and flower garden adding to the charm. There’s even a little shop selling Ken’s own jams and local produce — honestly the best jam and marmalade ever! We also enjoyed fresh free-range eggs in the morning, which felt extra special knowing you can thank the hens yourself.

There’s a lovely playground, and on Sunday morning children were playing football with their parents, which gave the place such a warm and family-friendly atmosphere. The facilities were good, clean, and practical, and the host was super nice, welcoming, and kind.

Perfect for a night around the fire pit or a peaceful countryside break — I couldn’t recommend it more!

喜欢 It was absolutely amazing! Well kept! the toilet unit was perfect and clean!

They have a 24 hours little shop where you can buy some veggies, eggs and logs for the fireplace! there is also a small fridge and a freezer if people want to keep things cold.

Ken (the owner) was lovely!

I highly recommend this place!!

喜欢 Lovely camp site run by Ken and Diana Rowsell who are so welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. Site is quiet, spacious and located in the most beautiful countryside. Good basic facilities which were all we needed plus a good farm shop. Highly recommend!
