喜欢: It’s a beautiful place with plenty to do. It’s also very peaceful even with kids around-easy to avoid. Living in London it was very refreshing to mostly hear sheep from afar at night. Pitch size was great, the Hub is lovely with regional beers and ciders and yummy meals. All the staff were great and helpful. Nice and clean toilets and showers

喜欢: The setting is beautiful - especially the river and the glimpses of Bodiam Castle. We stayed in a hut and enjoyed cooking over the open fire.

不喜欢: The toilets are not adequate. They really stink. I understand they are chemical loos but they smelled much worse than other chemical loos I have used. Maybe there was not enough chemical in the tank? They also were not cleaned every day. This lets down an otherwise great site.

Suggestions:
- It would be really appreciated to have a facility to charge mobiles up at the huts, e.g. a car-style phone charger connected to the 12V battery.

- The top hut area would benefit from a communal washing up sink with hot water on the back of the hut with the showers. It's hard to wash up the outdoor cooking kit with only cold water as supplied inside the huts.

喜欢: The hut was great, brilliant food, well priced drinks and very clean amenities. The location is beautiful. Unfortunately we had bad weather but it was still a great stay!

喜欢: So we like the location, lovely green field. Not boggy at all despite the rain! Great that you can park up next to your pitch too which is great if you have to bring a lot of gear with you.

Our pitch was less than a 30 second walk away from a lovely little river and no more than 5 minutes from the washing and toilet facilities.

Great little cafe and shop on site to stock up on food and fire wood too.

Overall a really great place.

喜欢: Nice setting; short walk along the river to the Castle and Castle Inn; good cafe (coffee v welcome); level pitches

不喜欢: Water in the showers/washing up area not overly hot. 2 showers for the whole site may not be enough if it was a busy weekend. Service in the coffee shop could be more cheerful.

喜欢: Loved the location. It was an easy walk to Bodiam castle and the river runs right past the site.
The staff on site were lovely and always happy to help with my questions.
The site felt very tranquil and remote.
My kids loved the playground

不喜欢: It would have been great if the shop sold basic foods such as bread and milk. (The cake was amazing though)

all the essential amenities close to the tents .. shop and cafe on site .. lovely views and plenty to do in the surrounding area .. Bodiam Castle a short walk away ..

喜欢: Great campsite in a fantastic location for many activities. Lovely walks, cycle routes and kayaking or paddleboarding. The hub was great for food and drinks.
