Pods on the Wall is a new site just a short walk from Hadrians Wall, Walltown.
It’s a fantastic place for a warm and convenient stop off if you’re walking the wall, walking the Pennine Way or doing the C2C, it is on the coast to coast, cycle route 72.
It’s also a great little romantic getaway if you’re not up to hiking or biking.
We are dog friendly, but this is a site with hens and a free roaming cat and dog, so please keep them on a lead if necessary.
We have a great decking area with furniture solely for guest use, along with the outdoor gas hob and fire pit.
There is a mini fridge in the pod and complimentary milk, tea, coffee and sugar.
It is maintained to a high standard and we go out of our way to ensure people have the best time here, we do take requests to make your stay better (decorating the pod for an occasions etc). The pod has its own designated toilet and shower within the shower block.
There is a comfortable double bed and a small sofa bed which would suit one child.
It’s situated in the dark skies and we are very lucky with how often we have clear nights here. We have a great decking area with furniture solely for guest use, along with the outdoor hob and fire pit.
The pod and shower block are well heated and come with everything you need for an ultra cosy glamping experience.
There is a car park suitable for one or two vans/motorhomes. Hardstanding pitches have use of toilet/shower block. But we have no hook up or waste disposal.

We are on the coast to coast cycle route so there are some great road cycling circuits here.
We are just a short walk from Hadrians wall, Walltown Country park, which has some great walks and serves ice creams during summer.
We’re a short drive from Talkin Tarn, a fantastic country park where you can row a boat and paddle-board too.
We have the ‘Sill, Landscape Museum’ a few miles away too, where you can also Walk to Sycamore Gap on Hadrians Wall. This is a great place to take children.
And Vindolanda, another fantastic place to take kids.
We have a number of fantastic pubs nearby, the Twice Brewed, the Greenhead Hotel, the Milecastle Inn to make a few.
There is a private heated pool just a mile away which is bookable on ‘Glendale Leisure, Haltwhistle’ website.
