喜欢: Situated right next to Whitby Abbey and Abbey brewery. What more can you ask for? Large field which enables is to camp anywhere we found suitable. Toilets are clean and stocked with towels and roll. Soap is also provided. Kitchen washing up area provided also. Staff are extremely friendly too.
We stayed the weekend before may bank holiday (Goth Weekend) and weather was fair. It was colder at night so had to wrap up warm and made sure we had plenty of blankets. We really enjoyed our time. We had a 3 year old in tow, and he had a brilliant time playing with the children in the tent nearby.

We then came back the weekend after (bank holiday), but due to high winds, our tent was obliterated. This was by no fault of the campsite and we found highly entertaining in all honestly. Yes, we probably couldn't afford to lose the tent, but made for a life experience. I would recommend not camping there if winds are high. If you have a van or camper, this is an entirely different story. Would recommend this pop up campsite regardless.

不喜欢: Nothing to dislike really. Some pub goers on goth weekend were louder at 1am, but what do you expect during a weekend where lots of people are revelling.

喜欢: Fantastic pop up site short walk from Whitby centre fantastic sea views the site it self is set up next to Whitby abbey and the micro brewery the facility’s are basic but well set up with Elsa’s disposal points and rubbish skips around the site
The are also two toilet blocks but no showers
Be warned if strong winds are forecast tenters may find it a bit challenging 😅😅😅

喜欢: Die Lage direkt an den Cliffs und der Abbey ist überragend.
Die Zuweisung unseres Platzes war gut organisiert.
Ausserdem gibt es inzwischen auch eine ELSAN Entsorgung.

不喜欢: Die Toiletten haben Luft nach oben Duschen gibt es nicht.

No one overseeing 6m apart for fire risk, was parked right next to , 2 m away , was unable to get awning out or enjoy bbq

不喜欢: stayed saturday sunday over this bank hols on elec hook up ,
we were on a pitch very close to ougher vans and on saturday a plain transit van pulled up next to us with a bunch of young lads a tent was put up at back of there van and then it all started load music,shouting and drunk ,every time they wanted to use toilets the van would be used and the alarm would sound ,they would drive 100 yards to the toilet block at shocking speeds where kids where playing total morons ,we had this for 2 nights left this morning and never seen such a mess at the side of our van cans ,cardboard paper plastic bags and left over food ,these people had no respect for anybody or the site ,no security at all ,ps i am not a kill joy but what has happened to the younger genaration they only care about themselfs .

不喜欢: The toilets and hand wash facilities are less than basic and at £80 for 2 nights expensive for what you got

喜欢: Nice link into Whitby Bay Area, brewery and food options within a five minute walk.

不喜欢: If you're considering camping with a tent, please be careful. I saw pitchers opting to sleep in their cars instead of tents because of the strong winds. I decided to pack up and leave early in the morning. The wind was so powerful that it caused our and other peoples tent poles to snap. I would like to note, that it was the second use of our tent and the firs use for our close neighbour that also had a snapped rod. The management of this site should really warn visitors about the risks of camping here. Stay safe!
