喜欢 I’ve just had 3 nights at this amazing site and it’s set the bar very high now, converting me from bigger sites with more facilities.

The site has 2 toilets which are very clean and spacious and a washing up area. The water isn’t hot but you don’t really need this for a shorter stay.

Pitches are big, flat and spacious and some have EHU. It was lovely to see the animals and Sam was always around to speak or help, without being imposing, lovely relaxed attitude. You get a text beforehand with your pitch and some instructions which is very good too.

There’s only two fields here so it’s very small and peaceful which I liked and in a great location. Thirsk is very close by to pick up food/essentials and you can venture out to the attractions or National Trust sites. On our last night there were only 4 pitches in use which was just the best!

I would definitely come back here time and time again. Please note there aren’t any showers but the site do tell you all this explicitly before you book.

喜欢 Lovely family run place, and so helpful. Good atmosphere and the kids loved it. The animals were an added bonus. Toilets were kept very clean which is always good to have.
It’s tucked out of the way so there isn’t anything within walking distance but that suited us as we took our own games for the kids and remained on site.
We also lost a ring on site and they messaged us to say they’d found it and posted it out to us…… thank you ❤️
We absolutely will return!!

不喜欢 Only 2 toilets and one washing up station, which meant big queues when the site was full.

喜欢 Very pleasant site in a peaceful location, great pitch size and clean facilities. Lovely owner, Sam, who called by once I was set up to make sure everything was ok.
Great communication ahead of arrival too!

不喜欢 Woken up around 2:30am by someone on a neighbouring pitch seeming to have a repair done to their vehicle… lots of banging and drilling sounds. Not sure what was going on but no fault of the owner so I wouldn’t judge my whole stay by this.
£25 for a pitch with no electric, and no showering facilities seems a bit steep, but I wouldn’t be put off staying again.

喜欢 Campsite was large and clean. Sam was attentive and helpful.
The option to hire a firepit was great!
The location felt rural and peaceful although shops were accessible by car.
Facilities were basic (without hot water and showers) but perfect for 2 nights stay.

不喜欢 Unfortunately one idiot decided to do some work on his caravan at 2am! Not sure what or why but they were loud and inconsiderate

Thank you for your lovely words.
We are looking to upgrade our facilities in the future, looking to supply hot water and build a shower, however currently we don't advertise anything we don't have.

I was made aware of the "said idiot" the following morning, it turned out to be RAC coming to change a tyre, the occupant of the caravan was made aware that this could of been dealt with the following day, also we put a complaint into RAC as the nature of the call out could of again been resolved the following morning and we expressed our anger that that came onto private land into a sleeping campsite in the middle of the night. I can only apologise for your disturbed evening and any inconvenience caused.
