喜欢: Very friendly staff at reception, straightforward to get in and set up. Lots of activities for all ages. Lots of options for gluten free food. Very clean and tidy campsite.

不喜欢: Didn’t like having to get picked up for 10 in the morning.

喜欢: Pitches close to toilet and shower block. Beautiful views. Warden onsite if needed. Car could be next to tent pitch. We struggled as a family of 5 to take down tent and pack up for 1000hrs but the site was very patient, we were around 30-40 mins late. We had a lovely enjoyable stay here and happy we booked.

不喜欢: The actual Thornton Hall attraction appeared quite pricey with 3 children, even with the generous discount as campers there. When my husband asked lady on reception, there was the entry fee, then some activities inside cost extra ontop. We were worried this would creep up with 3 kids who'd want to do everything so we went along to Skipton castle instead and we could take our dog there too. Looked a great attraction though but it was difficult that the kids could see a play ground ahead of them that they weren't able to use. It would be great to have a small play area for them that they could use as part of the campsite. Still a lovely family friendly site though.

We appreciate your comments on the farm park We strive to offer a fun and memorable experience, and we understand that extra costs for activities can be a concern. We do try to make the attraction as accessible as possible, with lots included in the entry price, such as bottle feeding and pony grooming, and only a handful of additional activities available at extra cost.

We’ve noted your suggestion for a small play area at the campsite, and we’ll certainly consider it as we look at potential improvements for the future.

喜欢: The showers/toilets were nice - however not enough leave long ques not ideal

不喜欢: Grass on the non electric field was un cut. Field exceptionally un level probably the worst we have ever stayed on.
Didn’t have any record of ours or multiple other peoples bookings - we had all used pitch up.
Noisy road just below the non electric field.
Piles of rubble (mountains) also in the field.
People accessing the farm drove past the camping field (often very fast) making it feel unsafe for children on the campsite.

Easy walking route to pub for food and drinks.

喜欢: The drive to the site is very picturesque, through the village and the moor.

不喜欢: I tried to get in touch with the office to discuss the booking, for a whole week before our trip, both by phone and email and got not response at all.

When we arrived there was no record of our booking, we had to show the booking email. We were in a field which was uneven, and full of nettles and thistles.

There is 1 male toilet, 1 female toilet and 1 unisex toilet. Which was insufficient for demand from the sheer volume of people onsite booked on site. They were very smelly and dirty.

The showers are small, and annoying as you have to constantly push the button every few seconds to keep the water flowing. There was a worm by the plug hole one morning, which was grim.

In all, it was very over priced for what was on offer. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

You mentioned difficulty getting in touch before your stay. Just to check, were you contacting our main email address? We also regularly respond to Facebook messages. Our phone system is an answering machine, so we do ask guests to leave a message so we can return the call — apologies if this wasn’t clear.

It also sounds like there may have been a technical issue with our booking system if your reservation didn’t come through on our end. We’re really sorry for the inconvenience this caused on arrival and will investigate what went wrong there.

Your visit coincided with our annual lawn mower racing weekend, which does bring in more guests than usual. While it's a fun and unique event, we completely understand that the increased numbers can impact the overall experience for some guests. We're currently reviewing both our pitch quality and facilities as part of a wider site improvement plan, so your comments are very helpful.

喜欢: Lovely looking site in good location. Toilets and shows clean. Level pitches, was able to book last minute (however I should have done more research) good phone signal

不喜欢: Small site that gets really busy. 8pm no noise rule not adhered too. Noise past 10pm as lots of families with children. Only three toilets and two showers, not enough for the amount of people. Booked a non electric grass pitch, had a tent pitch up right beside our van so could hear the family through the night and morning. Wouldn't recommend the site for couples as its not quiet, definitely for families with children.

We’re sorry to hear that your stay wasn’t as peaceful as you’d hoped. Your visit coincided with our annual lawn mower racing weekend, which brings in a larger number of guests, including the racers and their families who were camping on-site — so it was definitely busier than usual. We completely understand that this may not have suited everyone, particularly those looking for a quieter couples’ break.

喜欢: Small campsite with plenty of space for the kids to run about and play in.
Good sized pitches
Easy check in
Good contact with the site, the toilets were blocked so I messaged the out of hours contact and was sorted in 5 mins.
Pithches clearly labelled
Super dog friendly
Had a very safe feel

不喜欢: Hot air balloons firing up right next to the campsite around 7-7.30am which woke us up
Toilets seem to get blocked easily
Not a dislike for us as such but an honest review for anyone looking - the no noise after 8pm wasn’t adhered to whilst we were there. Like I say, this didn’t bother us but there were children and music playing up to 11pm.
The actual farm park isn’t dog friendly but the campsite is, which we didn’t actually know before booking (didn’t realise they were separate). It doesn’t make this very clear on Pitchup when asking if you want to book tickets for activities.

喜欢: Good level, spacious pitches

不喜欢: Facilities were poor, only 1 male and 1 female toilet, for the whole touring and camping sites, plus although they had hand washing Facilities, there was no means to dry your hands. Also there was only 2 showers for the whole site, so had to queue.
Also there wash no washrooms, ie sinks for getting washed or shaved etc.
