If you’re after sweeping countryside views, easy access to the coast and miles upon miles of outstanding natural beauty, this might just be the secluded North Yorkshire hideaway you’ve been hunting for. Sleeping up to four, accommodation is in a well-appointed shepherd’s hut; its wooden interior comes with a microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster in the kitchen, a bed and pull-out sofa bed, a TV and a woodburner to keep things nice and cosy. In the spirit of keeping things simple, peaceful and back to nature, there’s no entertainment on site at Quarry Farm… just loads of wide open space and those utterly spectacular vistas across the Vale of Pickering – south facing too, for extra basking on sunny days. The huge grassy area surrounding the shepherd’s hut provides kids with more than ample space for football kicking, kite flying and galloping around with the friendly resident dogs. When you fancy a break from the toils of the camping stove and decide you’re done with driving for the day, Ebberston’s local restaurant – a mile away – is a good spot for an evening meal, and a pub is in the village too.

喜欢 Everything about it and would recommend to everyone to the point I'm rebooting soon!!
Owners were loving, shepherd's hut was perfect with great attention to detail, tea, coffee, milk, water, wifi, netflix etc.
The view was just stunning and didn't want to leave!
Absolutely loved it thank you.
Also my dog was free, safe and loved just running in the field....brilliant xxx

喜欢 This place was amazing. The shepherds hut was gorgeous and they had truly thought of everything. Super accommodating as we arrived very late. Showers were super clean and warm. Can not wait to return to this place 💕

喜欢 We loved the location, the shepherds hut was perfect with a beautiful view and site was perfectly peaceful.

不喜欢 Only 2 showers with toilet in the same room so not ideal if you need the loo and people are showering. The rooms are huge so could easily be split up to accommodate more than 1 shower or toilet.

喜欢 Great little site with beautiful views. Really peaceful. The bathrooms and kitchen areas were clean and well equipped. The Limmy Lodge was cosy and well designed.

喜欢 Spacious quiet site, spotlessly clean in both the shepherd hut and bathroom/kitchen facilities.

不喜欢 Only two bathrooms - not an issue for us as was quiet when we stayed, but could maybe do with having one seperate toilet for when both full bathrooms are in use by those showering and therefore taking a bit longer.

喜欢 Lovely little shepherd's hut with absolutely beautiful views. Beds were very comfortable. Shower and toilets were very clean.

不喜欢 Small critism, i think it could have done with a dustpan and brush in the hut, as it was a damp morning and I would have liked to have a sweep around when the dog came back from a walk.

喜欢 All the space around our shepherd hut for my children and dog to run around safely. Nice and clean shower block. Accommodation was very clean and had everything we needed and more.

不喜欢 Quite a lot of flies, but we were on a farm so can’t be helped.

当地景点

Stacks of natural attractions and outdoorsy options surround the farm, the first being the Dalby Forest National Landscape around five miles away. As well as all the walking and cycling trails that network the forest floor, there’s an activity centre with paintballing, airsoft, archery, tree climbing, orienteering and low ropes courses. The farm is close to the Howardian Hills, which are crisscrossed by bridleways and quiet lanes for horse riding and on and off-road cycling. The 14-kilometre mountain bike route beginning at Coneysthorpe has splendid views to the north across the Vale of Pickering and beyond towards the North York Moors National Park, and there are options for shorter rides along this route if you opt to use the bridlepaths around it. Pickering’s narrow shopping streets, ancient castle and access to the famed North York Moors Steam Railway are eight miles from base, and the seaside towns of Scarborough and Filey are both within half an hour’s drive.
