喜欢: The owner Derek was lovely and helpful, as were all of the staff. Nice little shop on site with a hippie clothing boutique, worth a look in! The site itself was peaceful and the views were absolutely gorgeous. Where I was pitched, the ground was sloped a little but it’s a field it’s not going to be dead flat is it? And it didn’t bother me one bit! Brought my own campfire which are allowed and bought a bag of logs from the site which was amazing value. I loved that the site had no electric or WiFi, it was such a nice time detoxing from my phone and being in nature. The vibe of the campsite was lovely, and as a new camper talking to others staying there who visit regularly and are experienced campers gave me so much great advice, everyone I came across was so helpful and nice. Can’t wait to book up again soon. Thank you!!

喜欢: The owner greeting us warmly and there was a peaceful community vibe. The site is spacious and has a wide field of view of open countryside. Free to choose our pitches as a group and being able to have a decent campfire. Walking up the hill to the stone circle to take in the incredible views of the Cleveland Way. Good facilities, including showers and hot water. Also liked the on-site shop, worth a browse. A great spot to start walking the Cleveland Way to Saltburn.

喜欢: What’s not to like lovely clean site, nice rural location, owner was very friendly will definitely be returning in the near future. Would recommend to anyone looking for a wild camping experience with on site toilets and shower. It’s nice to spend time without technology

喜欢: Dog friendly, good price, nice owner who was welcoming

不喜欢: Huge slope, dirty facilities, previous campers left loads of rubbish behind, other campers arguing (obv not the owners fault). Didn't end up sleeping there, as would be too difficult to have a flat pitch, not a great vibe with people arguing, didn't help that it was blowing a gale up there!

喜欢: Cheap site, friendly owner, dog friendly.

不喜欢: Junk yard feel, dirty toilets, massive sloping hill, with no flat spaces to park and put tent up, very windy up there! There was an argument going on and people kicking off as there was a couple in the womens showers, rubbish left all over (by previous campers i assume). Obviously none of that was the owners fault but ended up deciding not to stay, even though we had paid, as it just wasn't for us.

We are saddened and disappointed too by the conduct of two campers this weekend , and the individuals in question will not be welcome on site in the future .

Had an issue with other campers which unfortunately meant we had to get the police involved. This wasn't owner's fault and he supported us.
