Three peaks before breakfast? That might not be possible (let alone pleasant) but the paths to two of the famed Yorkshire Three Peaks start less than five minutes' drive away from this quiet site on a family-run hill farm in the Yorkshire Dales. Philpin Farm is a 10-minute drive from Ingleton and the Ribblehead Viaduct, on the route of the Settle-Carlisle Railway. The site is small and two-tiered, with accommodation areas at the bottom and top of a small hill (the car park is near the top area as no cars are allowed on the field). The farm's barn is available for eating and mingling in, and it's home to a snack bar on weekends; you can also order cooked breakfasts and packed lunches, buy homemade cakes, even socks, gloves, hats and rain ponchos if you've come under-prepared. The barn also has vending machines that are open 24 hours per day, so that's your midnight snack sorted. Barbecues are allowed on site if raised off the ground (strictly no fires). The only other strict rule is the farm's no-noise policy at night: please let everyone savour the peace of this very special place. There's a welcoming 17th-century inn five minutes' walk away, more of the same, plus shops and a chip shop in Ingleton.

喜欢: Really loved this campsite. The toilets and showers were nice and clean. There was a barn area with vending machines to buy hot and cold drinks and some snacks. There's gorgeous views all around. Watching the little baby lambs was just the cutest. Theres gorgeous walks all around. An amazing pub just down the road near the ribblehead viaduct. Have already booked to come back with my son, and will probs come back again solo. Felt very safe here.

喜欢: This was a great campsite! It had toilets and showers that were clean and was a quick walk to whernside and ingleborough if going for the yorkshire 3 peaks. The staff were very friendly and snack bar was well priced. Only a few minutes drive into ingleton. The site was very quiet at night could only hear the sheep

喜欢: Have visited this campsite 3 years ago both time with a dog. Came this time and it did not disappoint!
Not only perfect location , but so many amenities on site. Toilet/ showers are clean easy accessible at any time. Hot / cold drink and snacks available at any time. As well as another room with a fridge , table chairs another set of toilets , able to charge phone/ cameras ect and a keep it in a locker .
Field is fairly flat in most places (exspect the middle) lots of places to pitch up.
Dog is very much welcome everywhere and was mentioned when checking in ‘ there no restrictions on where the dog can go ‘.
Staff was very welcoming.

不喜欢: Could not park at pitch but that has been started and has not stopped me coming back . There is room to park your car near the field gate to move tents ect.

喜欢: Beautiful located camping field in the Cotswolds. Short walk or drive into Cirencester. Compost toilets and gas heated outdoor cubicle showers are clean and well maintained. The Organic farm has a lovely cafe and well stocked farm shop.

当地景点

For committed peak baggers, trails up to Ingleborough and Whernside run just by the farm, and the starting point for third peak, Pen-y-ghent, is 15 minutes' drive away. While some mark off their scorecards and leave, others stay and explore this area stuffed with wonders both natural and man-made. The Settle-Carlisle Railway, and its transit over the mighty Ribblehead Viaduct, marks a meeting of human endeavour and landscape: don't miss a chance to take one of the world's great rides: 73 miles through remote and sometimes jaw-dropping scenery from Ribblehead, five minutes' drive away, or Settle (half an hour). If you're up for something more active, it's 10 minutes into Ingleton for tours of the White Scar Caves and the trail to the waterfalls. Heading further westwards towards the Forest of Bowland, it's a 45-minute drive to paths up Bowland's highest point, White Hill for views of Dales, Lakes and even sometimes, the sea. The area is popular with cyclists, too, with numerous bike routes through Gisburn Forest starting from the Forest Hub café, also 45 minutes away. If water's more your element, it's half an hour to Semer Water for coarse and brown trout fishing, canoeing and windsurfing and if you're a tad peckish after all that outdoor stuff you could head up to Hawes (20 minutes) and sample the cheesy delights of the Wensleydale Creamery.
