添加您的业务详细信息Getting to Feather Down Farm – Heydon Grove involves wending your way down some of the prettiest ‘lost lanes’ Norfolk has to offer… and when you get there you’ll be greeted by an enormously peaceful rural site that’s also got a hefty dose of luxury to offer guests.
Your hosts at this spot 15 minutes’ drive from Aylsham are farmers Rory and Paula, with a helping hand from family members Richard and Jackie – this site is part of the arable farm that’s been in their family for four generations. And your neighbours? Well, they're mainly sheep and cows, who add a gentle rural soundtrack to your farm stay. Dogs are welcome to join you on a stay here, but you’ll need to make sure they’re well behaved around the animals and other guests.
Accommodation on site is in smart and spacious safari tents that have been thoughtfully designed to provide lots of the things you need for a fuss-free family holiday. Comfy double beds have bed linen provided, and each tent also has heating, a private bathroom and a full kitchen with plenty of cooking kit. There’s a picnic table outside for alfresco meals on sunny days; you’ll also be provided with firewood to feed to the woodburning stove at cooler times.
An excellent play area on site means that kids can be kept entertained without having to go far – but there are also plenty of great ideas around for outings in this area too. Days out might take you up to the coast or south to Norwich, while more local escapades should certainly involve a stop at the local pub, 20 minutes’ walk away (it’s previously been a finalist in the BBC’s Best Country Pub of the Year contest…)

当地景点
Most of Heydon Grove’s guests make a beeline for the coast before too long – and there are plenty of great spots to choose from. Try Cromer for seafood and a classic pier, Sheringham for a steam railway and rockpools or Blakeney for seal-spotting boat trips (all about half an hour’s drive).
A little further along the coast you could also check out the colourful beach huts of Wells-next-the-Sea (40 minutes) or the sweeping sands of Holkham (45 minutes). Don’t ignore the inland attractions though – a 15-minute drive will get you to the gorgeous grounds of Blickling Hall or to meet the horses of Redwings Aylsham.
Norwich (half an hour) is worth a trip too, to see the cathedral and castle and take a walk along the banks of the Wensum River. If you've got kids (or indeed grownups) who are fascinated by flight, stop in at City of Norwich Aviation Museum (25 minutes) too.
