Head to Huggle Farm for a quiet rural Norfolk stay in a well-maintained field that’s both within The Broads National Park and about six miles from the county’s lovely coastline. Pitches here are pleasingly flat and spacious, with only a handful of guests on site at any time. It’s a fairly simple setup here, but one that’s got access to a portable toilet and a shingle off-road parking area next to the camping field (no getting stuck in the mud here, thanks very much…) It’s all part of a working farm where you can wake up to the true sights and sounds of the countryside, and get a real taste of your surroundings by buying free-range eggs and local honey on site for a tasty breakfast. Pigs, alpacas, sheep and a donkey are among the animals that live here – give them a wave as you wander past, or have a chat with the team on site to arrange a time when you can get up close for a proper meeting. When not feasting on fresh eggs, you may like to head out for a meal and a drink in one of the local pubs (there are a couple within a few minutes’ drive in the villages of Potter Heigham and Martham) or pick up local berries, cheese and other picnic bits at the farm shop a few minutes’ walk away.

喜欢: nice little pitch on the farm, judith who welcomed me to the farm was polite and more than happy to help, it was great to see all the animals and hear all the sounds of a working farm, the portaloo was clean and always stocked and the farm shop was great too!

喜欢: Absolutely loved huggle farm. The owners are so friendly , we had lots of room for our tent right next to the little horse and 3 affectionate sheep.
Lots of lovely animals ready for a cuddle , there was no time limit to leave we spent hours walking around the farm and the lovely lady owner who happily talked with us about her animals

喜欢: The field/pitch was lovely - flat, great views and very quiet and peaceful. You can hear the cattle and cockerels depending on how close your tent is to the farm so I would recommend bringing earplugs if you are sensitive to noise. The portaloo was always clean and had plenty of toilet roll and hand sanitiser. Sharing the field with the alpacas was an unexpected bonus :) Excellent location! Only 5 minute drive from the village of Martham for takeaway or shops or the parkrun at Flegg High. 10 minute drive to Potter Heigham where you can get lunch and rent a boat on the Broads. 12 minute drive to the lovely beach at Winterton-on-Sea. Judith let us visit the animal sanctuary on the farm where we enjoyed looking at and stroking the animals. We also bought a few things from the farm shop which were delicious. Amazing value for money, I highly recommend :)
