喜欢 Literally across the road from the chase , can't get any closer . Can pitch where you like so can keep away from the groups , friendly staff.

不喜欢 Even though warned when booked there was a lot of dogs running around off lead which was a nightmare because we have a nervous dog . Was emailed the pizza man was there so brought no food with us to find he disappeared for breakfast Sunday morning.

Value for money- we've paid more and had less facilities at other sites.
Pitch sizes
Clean toilets & showers
Washing up area
Parking next to tent.
Lots of water points
Walking distance to the forest.(even for the toddler)
Onsite 24hr warden
Friendly and helpful staff.
Mini shop was well stocked with essentials.

喜欢 We loved the location, right in the middle of Cannock Chase and literally across the street from many hiking trails and mountain biking routes. Such a beautiful area, and the setup at the campsite was really good as well

喜欢 Came here as close to home fir the grand children's first time camping, throughly enjoyed the stay, toilets clean, lots of space and bonus touch was the delicious pizza served on site and the great shop selling emergency items. Also staff in booking in and very helpful and advised they provide certain forgotten items for free ie bin bag etc very helpful , perfect location on cannock chase with a lityle gate entrance to cross the road direct to birches valley xx

Fancying swinging through the trees? Go Ape is a couple of minutes' walk from site at Birches Valley Forest – head here if you fancy taking on this 1,500-metre-long high ropes course. Segway hire is also available next door for speedy self-powered laps of the woodland. The National Trust's Shugborough Estate (10 minutes' drive) is also close by: this Georgian manor house has gorgeous grounds and is home to a working farm where the kids can get up close and personal with friendly livestock. For more historic architecture, head down the road to Stafford Castle (20 minutes), where there's an interactive heritage trail and museum to get stuck into.  Other family-friendly options in the area include the National Forest Adventure Farm (20 minutes) with its bouncy soft play zone and go-karting track. Want to ramp up the adrenaline a little more? Jaunts to classic theme parks like Drayton Manor (25 minutes) and Alton Towers (half an hour) can be sorted in a doddle. For some slower times after all that action, Dovedale (45 minutes) is a prime spot for peaceful Peak District wanders.
