Wake up a short wander from the Lincolnshire coast with a stay at Creekside Family Camping in Anderby. This site is 10 minutes’ walk from the beach at Anderby Creek and about 20 minutes’ walk from Wolla Bank, with the added bonus of being surrounded by the wildlife haven of the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park. The family has farmed this land for three generations and are happy to share insider tips on where to go and what to do when you visit. If it's traditional seaside shenanigans you're after – fairgrounds, arcades, donkey rides and all the rest – Ingoldmells and Skegness are along the coast within about 20 minutes’ drive. Roll up at this relaxed site and chose your own pitch on the meadow, surrounded by mature hedges and trees. It’s family and dog-friendly with plenty of space to run around and play with a separate field for ball games. If you need provisions or fancy an easy bite to eat, there’s a bar and restaurant, café and general store by the beach at Anderby Creek. Firepits, wood and kindling are available on site and you’re welcome to set up a small campfire so you can gather round, sit back and enjoy the huge Lincolnshire skies. The stars at night are usually quite something, and there's only minimal interference from the fairy lights around the place (a torch is a handy thing to have though…). This may be a pop-up site but it's got the vibe of a glamping setup, all decked out with bunting and pretty decorations. Guests have access to proper ceramic flushing loos, a portable shower block with proper showers, drinking water points, a washing-up area, phone charging point, freezer for ice blocks and a dog wash.

喜欢: Pitches were well kept and flat.
Power hookup was close to pitches.
Toiletries in the shower was a nice touch.
Toilet block was kept clean on the day I arrived.

不喜欢: Toilet block was not kept clean on the second day. I had paid for 2 nights but left at 17:00 and it didn't seem to have been cleaned all day.

喜欢: This site was lovely, the facilities on site where just what I needed for me and little boy. There was so much space. The dog exercises field was an added bonus. Been so close to the beach was great. Highly recommend.

喜欢: Everything. This was such a great campground. I loved how dog friendly it was with "puppy parking" spots at all the toilets and other amenities and the enclosed dog field. Everything was very clean. The sites were large, clearly marked and the grass in good condition. The campfire pits were a great addition. We walked to the beach and it was lovely. Will definitely come back.

不喜欢: The only minor complaint is that I requested to be near by friend was in non electric and I was placed as far as you could go from where she was! And there were many electric sites available much nearer her area. But it is a very minor thing to walk a bit more to be social.

喜欢: So easy - I think!

Just turned up and pitched! Was confused by the self checkin but reverted back to the pitch up notes & said just pitch up so that’s what we did.

We got there at 7pm and we were leaving in the morning- last minute taking advantage of the good weather!

It was quiet so perfect for us walked to Popa Bar for dinner - did say food to 8pm but was 7.30pm but we were fine as it was 7.25pm - we went there as the fish & chip van cancelled due to illness so just something to be aware of.
There isn’t much around but was perfect for our last minute one night stay

Facilities where great & clean - didn’t see any staff and didn’t need to but phone numbers clear if we had needed

Waking up and an 10min walk to the beach was my idea of perfect - follow by beach at the excellent beach bar.

喜欢: The pitches were well kept and plenty of room. Nice clean, hot showers. It was a busy bank holiday weekend but had no trouble using the facilities. The little cafe looked good but we didn't need to use it ourselves.

不喜欢: Nothing to dislike at all. O, except the constant wind whilst we were there!

喜欢: The site is amazing, really lovely staff, great facilities heated for colder days which is great. Washing up area great and laundry can’t fault them. The dog field is secure and they have dog treats and dogs toys available.

There is a footpath directly to the beach across one road and it took about 10 mins to get there.

The beach cafe down the road is lovely

The beach itself is one of the best I’ve seen

I am 100% going back

不喜欢: Only thing I disliked was where they pitched me right by the road. When the campsite was nearly empty. However when I asked they did say we could move but I had already set up by then. The road wasn’t actually that noisy.

The wild sand dunes of Anderby Creek beach are a 10-minute stroll away. In the summer it splits into dog-free and dog-friendly areas, so there’s space for everyone. More beachy gems within 10 minutes’ drive include Huttoft, Wolla Bank, Marsh Yard, Chapel Six Marshes and Chapel Point. Holiday big-hitters Ingoldmells (10 minutes’ drive) and Skegness (20 minutes) are filled with all the attractions you’d expect from a traditional British seaside resort and have enough to keep the whole family happy whatever the weather. There’s more family fun to be had in Mablethorpe at Lincolnshire Aqua Park (20 minutes) with pedalos, paddleboarding, kayaks and a giant floating assault course for the more adventurous. Keen walkers should connect up with the Lincolnshire Coastal Path; a 20-mile walk from Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve in Skegness past the site to Mablethorpe. Birders will want to check out Anderby Coastal Grazing Marsh too (two minutes’ walk). And if the lure of the coast isn’t enough, there are also walking routes inland around the Lincolnshire Wolds and Hubbards Hills (30 minutes' drive).
