喜欢 Location was only 10 mins from peak cavern
Single shower was nice.

不喜欢 Part of the field that was left was very uneven, and under the electricity cables.
with no pitch markings some people spread themselves out, which meant the rest had to be very close.

The main road the campsite was off of was extremely busy for such a small road.

不喜欢 It could have benefited from site/ pitch marking areas. As we arrived when people were not there and didn't know where was available. But it was all fine.

喜欢 Everything, the owner popped over to say hello and she is lovely, the location is perfect, peaceful with stunning views of the sunrise and there is so much to do and see locally, 2 nights wasn’t enough for me and I will be back. The facilities are really great; a huge private shower room with a lovely hot shower, washing up facilities and 2 toilets to use. All cleaned twice a day

I felt extremely safe as a solo traveller and will most definitely be returning! Also, what a bargain at £15 per night if you’re travelling solo!?

喜欢 Back to basics camping. Its adults only and in a beautiful location. This site is like camping used to be in the 1980s when I first started. It's basic and simple, and that's a delight. There is no electricity, no marked out pitches in neat rows, no tags or PIN numbers. Just show, up, pitch up, and relax. Fantastic.
And the level of sophistication (or lack of...) is reflected in the price. It's a fair price, for what you get.
The camping field is quite small and has a rustic vibe, positioned directly next to the working farm on one side, and sheltered by trees on the other. In practical terms, there is one water source and one shower, with hot water, 2 toilets. Kept clean and nice.
At the weekend, the field felt busy with about 10 tents on it of various sizes, but not over crowded. In the week. We almost had the place to ourselves.
We chatted to the owners for quite a while. They are a lovely friendly couple, and ready to help in any way they can.
We stayed a couple of nights. We walked 20 minutes or so, up to the Ladybower reservoir and experienced the beauty of the peaks. I would definitely recommend this place if like me, you favour rustic roads, quiet places, and that back to basics style.

不喜欢 There's not much to dislike. But if i had to say something...
The signage is poor when trying to find the field, just the last bit, when you find the farm, turn left. I mentioned it to the owner. Maybe he's sorted it by now.
There is only one water point and it is positioned over a stainless steel sink. It awkward if you like to fill up a big water bag or similar that won't fit in the sink. A standpipe would work better for me.
