Quiet farm site, beautiful views

喜欢: Just had a pleasant stay on this small working farm site. Access via the farm yard, so some bends to navigate. Very friendly welcome. Sloping pitches, so levelling blocks needed. There are showers and toilet blocks, no fuss but functional. Water available for vans etc and waste emptying if required. We walked 3 miles into Cromford along the canal towpath which was beautiful. Ate at The Greyhound pub.
不喜欢: Not a moan, but a comment: the road to the site is narrow, with passing places so be aware. We missed the turn from the main road as there's no sineage for Hankin Farm. There are 2 brown signs for other sites though!

喜欢: We arrived on site and was greeted by the very friendly owner who pointed out what we needed to know. Originally planned to stay for 1 night as it was our first time out in the van but we enjoyed it so stayed another night.
Facilities were basic but very clean all that was needed.
Will definitely recommend

喜欢: Beautifully situated campsite, surrounded by nature. Working farm with cows and sheep. Dogs must be on a lead at all times.
Greeted by friendly owner, who told us what we needed to know. Were checked on later in the day to make sure all was well. Easy walk to the Family Tree for drinks and food (GF). Basic site but it's all we needed. Didn't use the showers.

喜欢: Everything thing, location,great to get into matlock baths etc, views, clean toilet showers and sink area, friendly farmer, loads of space for ths kids to play
不喜欢: Bit picky but grass could have been cut shorter

喜欢: Quiet location, not busy and everyone respectful. The owner came round to check on everyone at the end of the day. Basic facilities but everything you need and well kept. Little touches like the washing up bowls, sponges, washing up liquid and toilet roll very helpful if anyone forgets anything. We had a lovely walk across the fields and also down to the canal towpath.
不喜欢: Motorbike noise was a bit much during the day but it was quiet when it got later in the day. Didn’t stop us enjoying the site but I feel sorry for the locals!

喜欢: On arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady who welcomed us in and showed us where we could park up for the night. We were treated to amazing views, with plenty of space and we loved how quiet it was. Our neighbour for the night was very friendly and considerate. The food truck on site is delicious! And saved me from cooking for the night which was a bonus. Shower/toilet was clean and tidy with plenty of toilet roll. Phone signal was really good getting 5G most of our stay. Will definitely return!! 😊
