Riddings Wood Holiday Park

喜欢: Cabin was absolutely spotless on arrival. Has everything you need for your stay, towels, bedding, tea coffee etc.
Hot tub was the perfect temperature. Beautiful setting for the cabins, set back from the main campsite within a small wooded area.
Made to feel very welcome on check in and check out.
Doesn't offer free WiFi but phone signal is 5G and be fair came to get away, so not an issue.

不喜欢: Having to come home after an amazingly relaxing 2 days.
If I had to puck something, perhaps a mop in the cabins as you do tend to walk in water & a shame use the lovely fresh white towels supplied.

喜欢: Good sized pitches. Nice grassed area between units

Park for children was good

Staff friendly even brought easter eggs for kids on site.

Campsite appears well kept

不喜欢: Shower block (new) looks lovely but doesn't seem to be able to stay warm. Out of 5 showers we had 4 was unbearably cold.

Explained to reception unfortunately blamed it on gas. Yet didn't seem to be solve over 4 days

Our children couldn't handle the cold and didn't have a good chance of a decent wash.

Elsan toilet empty. Out of order. No swill out hose.

Directed to a drain at toilet block

NO WIFI as advertised.

喜欢: Play area, location and pitch were quite nice.
Shower and toilet area very clean.

不喜欢: Electric hookup for pitch 16 had been incorrectly installed. So reversed polarity.
Spoke to those running the site and although couldn't move pitches offered us their cable. So I could hook up on another pitch with 35m of cable. Which worked fine and solved the issue.

In the morning went to go for a shower but no water to showers and toilets until about 10am when it was back in. No idea on the issue but least it got resolved same day. Just a shame.

喜欢: Wonderful site, very peaceful. Plenty room on each pitch. Toilet and shower block immaculate. Friendly staff. Will definitely book again.

喜欢: Very spacious fully serviced pitch, even had a bench for us to sit out on. Our area of the site was very quiet and the toilet/shower block very clean. Close enough for local shops etc. The wood next to the campsite is perfect for walking the dogs and even has a cut through back onto the bottom of the campsite.

不喜欢: Very little to dislike but on two occasions the water in the shower block was lacking. This was dealt with very quickly by the site staff so hopefully it was just a hiccup. Our fully serviced pitch water drain was on the far/opposite side of the pitch and my waste pipe only just reached with my extension.

喜欢: The pitch itself was lovely and tidy, we were lucky to not be pitched on the hill.
The toilet/shower facilities were spotlessley clean and warm. The owners were lovely and friendly 😊

不喜欢: Unfortunately, the location for us was not the best. There was a lot of road noise throughout the day and in to the late evenings with "boy racer" fast car noises. A lot of back firing exhausts, which wasn't nice for our "gun shy" noise sensitive Labrador.
It's also near to a busy train line so you can hear that noise too.
Also, Unfortunately some people did not follow the rules of "quiet" time after 11, as there was still children running around and screaming at midnight and again waking us up at 3.30am.
