Fancy settling your caravan in a strategic location that will give you easy access to all sorts of attractions and activities? Take a pitch at Grove Lock Caravan Park, a spacious and well-maintained Bedfordshire site two miles outside of Leighton Buzzard. There’s a lengthy list of things to see and do in this area, so it’s certainly a place where you could easily spend several days without any danger of running out of entertainment. For starters, you might like to try Whipsnade Zoo, Bletchley Park, Woburn Safari Park and Milton Keynes’ Snozone skiing facility – or perhaps head out for walks in the likes of Rushmere Country Park or on the Dunstable Downs? And of course there’s also the option of boarding a train for a day touring the sights of London (an hour away by train). The immediate surroundings are rather lovely here too – the site is right on the banks of the Grand Union Canal for easy waterside wanders, and a very short stroll from the local pub too (how handy). Everything on site has been well thought out to provide the best experience for guests – pitches are large and well spaced, with access to electricity and water plus a well-kept toilet and shower block. Kids and dogs are welcome on site, so feel free to bring along the whole family.

喜欢 Lots of space. Nice quiet campsite next to canal with riverboats. Lovely pub which we accessed via a gate next to the canal. Bathroom facilities nice and clean, individual spacious toilet, sink and shower units.

不喜欢 Next to a busy railway but it was hardly noticeable.

喜欢 Great site , lovely spot next to the canal where th a brilliant pub literally next door to the marina , MAKE SURE YOU GET A KEY from the managers office before it closes for the day at 5 else you will be stuck inside

不喜欢 Traffic noise wasn’t great but wasn’t nearly as bad as others have said and honestly it was hot we slept with windows open in our camper and wasn’t disturbed by either trains or traffic over night … didn’t love the communal Lois never a good idea as men are not as clean as women enough said

喜欢 Area was a good location for the canals walking and bikes pub on edge of site serving meals all day a little expensive due to the position camp site was good size pitch clean & tidy .

不喜欢 Site noisy due too the road & railway but site it’s self was quite with all pitches taken
Pitch 22 is definitely not the best as we were next to a gate and everyone and their family walked passed us some a little too close content gate slamming

喜欢 Beautiful site near to Canal and pub with beautiful gardens. The site had plenty of picnic tables and bbq’s scattered around this picturesque site. Toilets and showers are basic but clean

不喜欢 There is nothing we disliked but some people may be affected by the noise of traffic and train line nearby. It was not loud enough to bother us.

不喜欢 Shower block was old I’ve never seen so many cobwebs in one bathroom no hot water by 10 am and the code to get out the gate didn’t work

Getting out for a walk is certainly a good idea around here, whether you choose to set off along the canal towpath, wander among the woods at Rushmere Country Park (10 minutes’ drive) or see what sort of trails you can find at the National Trust-maintained landscapes at Dunstable Downs (15 minutes) and Ashridge Estate (20 minutes). There are all sorts of historic attractions to explore nearby too, including art-filled Ascott House (five minutes) and heritage rides on Leighton Buzzard Railway (five minutes) as well as the famed Bletchley Park (15 minutes), where you can find out all about the fascinating role the Enigma machine played in World War II and hear the stories of those that worked there. Animal attractions are in good supply here too, so you may like to take the kids to meet big beasts at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo (15 minutes) or Woburn Safari Park, or make friends with cuddlier creatures at Abbotts View Alpacas (15 minutes, advance bookings only) or The Bucks Goat Centre (25 minutes).
