Bluebell Shepherd's Hut

Tyckte om Bluebell is wonderful. We loved how secluded, quiet and relaxing it was amongst the trees and especially enjoyed visits from the very sweet and friendly Maddy the spaniel!

Tyckte om The most magical location - an ancient forest, beautiful meadow, stunning river and walks, fires under the moon and candlelight twinkling in the forest. Bluebell is a special retreat where you can truly be surrounded by nature. The hut was thoughtfully decorated, logs were supplied for fires aswell as a generous gift of marshmallows to toast and a glass of prosecco. The outdoor shower was great and hot and the compost loo was clean. We had a wonderful stay celebrating my husband's birthday and would love to come back. The hosts clearly take excellent care and pride in making this a truly special retreat. Maddy the Spaniel was also delightful and made sure to check in on us throughout our stay for a few cuddles.

Från föreståndaren: Thank you for this lovely review, we are so pleased you had a great stay as the only guests in our one-acre copse. This is a handmade experience, which comes with firewood, treats, candles and a lot of careful attention and is only open a limited number of days each year. Guests are also supplied with a knife for whittling and the use of monogrammed robes and towels.
Shampoo, condition and shower-gel are also provided. It's an entirely personalised experience and our guests find it a special curated experience with a remarkable price-tag for the exclusivity.
We decided six years ago to offer just a single hut, rather than squeezing in several huts. This means all the facilities are used by one couple (or a parent and child) at a time. The bed is six feet long, so if you sleep straight out and and are taller than this your feet may touch the timber wall at the bottom - but we have had people of all heights and shapes accommodated very happily. By its nature, a shepherd's hut is a bijou little world and this one has windows on all four sides facing into nature and green forest and meadow views.

Tyckte om Bluebell is a beautiful little shepherds hut in nature. You are totally disconnected from the world, but are only a short walk from it at the same time. Everything you need is accounted for, and the local villages are both quaint, and welcoming. A wonderful stay.

Tyckte om It was an amazing experience in the middle of the forest. Private, pretty and well organized hut with all that you need, including hammocks if you want to chill or plenty beautiful and full of blackberries walks around. Maddie the dog's owner it's also a huge cute, well behaved and funny company. A perfect city break to enjoy our first wedding anniversary ❤️

Tyckte om We absolutely loved staying at Bluebell! I'll be honest, I was unsure at first as my husband had booked it so we could recharge our batteries and escape for a few days !! It was brilliant, we loved Bluebell and all the extra touches and goodies when we got there. The bed was super comfortable and so cozy ! The shower area was amazing, we loved showering outside and the addes bonus of bathrobes supplied. Even the compost loo was brilliant! Maddy the spaniel was a huge hit with us and we loved her visits throughout the day and evening, she especially liked the fire we lit in the evenings!! All the extra touches that Jane had thought of were amazing. We will definitely be returning for a 2nd visit.

Tyckte om I was looking for accommodation for two nights so i could attend the Goodwood festival of speed event which is only 25 Mins drive from the Blue bell Shepherds hut.
Lovely location with everything you need.
The Shepherds hut is very nicely done with great attention to detail.
The Shower/toilet was also nicely done.
A great place to stay overall thanks Jane and Maddy the Cocker spaniel what a lovely dog 🐕.

Tyckte om This was the most RELAXING weekend we have ever had. No one around apart from the beautiful dog Maddy. Everything that you needed , no frills needed. We sat and relaxed and chatted. We enjoyed the space and nature.
The hut was everything you could want. Again no need for anything extra. The bed was comfy. It was clean and inviting. It packed so much in but still had enough room.
The fire pit area was decked out. Tables and chair blending into nature. The pit was perfect to cook on , that was my husbands favourite part. You can sit and chat and watch the birds and stars with no interruptions.
The shower and loo were a short walk away. Hot water and a lovely space to wake up in. The loo was perfect and it all just blended in.
Jane and her family were welcoming and they would have done anything to make sure our stay was perfect. Little card and treats were a lovely touch. Maddy the spaniel is the secret weapon I think. With little visits that make you smile.
We will be back. It was a space to stop and be in. No wifi (but some signal) , no people and just beautiful surroundings was perfection
