Tyckte om Perfect spot. Feel lucky to have found a very unique place I can get to so easily. I didn't think I'd find something like it outside of Scottish wild camping. With the benefit of knowing your cars not abandoned somwhere! Lovely to meet the owners and my two boys (4 and 7) absolutely loved staying here. They will always remember going mushroom spotting with headtorches in the dark. Proper little adventure. Will definitely be back!

Tyckte om Loved how private each pitch was, you are tucked away in your own corner allowing privacy and no disturbance from anyone around you. The toilets were very clean at all times and liked how we were given both recycling and general waste bags. Owners were lovely people.

Tyckte inte om Wouldn’t say I disliked it but the walk down to the toilets could be quite a mission especially late at night - but I understand the goal in trying to keep facilities to a minimum in order not to disrupt the nature.

Tyckte om Absolutely perfect!
My friend and I took our sons for their first camping experience and this location is a perfect blend of safety and freedom.
- Camp file is perfect for roasting marshmallows.
- owls hooting during the night
- birds chirping first thing in the morning
- plenty of wildlife to look for

Although there were lots of other campers, you wouldn’t have known it because you are tucked away in your own little part of the forest. We got a large pitch and had plenty of space for 2 x 3 man tents, an area for our camp fire and a nice area for bbq.
The website warns you to pack light but I would worry too much. Even the furthest part of the aite is only a 5/10 minute walk from the cars. I didn’t pack air beds because I thought it would be too far from the cars to make several trips but it’s not, and the toilets and extra firewood are near the cars so you’re going to be heading down that way at some point anyway.

Our boys are 8 years old and loved it.

Staff are around if you need anything but they don’t “bother” you.

100% will be going back there!

Tyckte om This was my first visit, and I came with my husband and daughter who is 7. I really like the ethos of the site around doing no harm and leaving no trace, and the fact it's almost wild camping meant it was peaceful and back-to-basics so you can just focus on the nature and beauty of the site itself. The pitches are well spread out so you weren't constantly distracted by other visitors and their noise as is the case on some other sites! The staff are friendly and helpful, and I like that you're supposed to be allocated a parking space and pitch, and it feels safer as there is a code for the gate and the toilets. Really lovely site and it was amazing to hear so many different birds and different wildlife, I'd love to come back.
Location-wise it's a short drive to Haworth which is a lovely place to spend a day but there didn't seem to be much to do around the site in walking distance. Despite being close to Oakworth and Keighley, you feel like you're a million miles away due to how peaceful it is in the woods!
I think this place is great for people with children age 5+ - keeping in mind there isn't much by way of washing facilities and some pitches are a long way back to the toilets. Lots of places to explore and designated sticks for building dens.
I would ring ahead if you have any disabilities including mobility difficulties as this might not be the site for you owing to minimal marking of paths, some steep slopes, uneven paths, and minimally managed trees etc.

Tyckte inte om Maybe not 'disliked' but a suggestion for a small improvement would be some minimal signage or some way of finding your way to pitches more easily, as it was very disorientating in the dark to find your way back to the tent, even with a head torch as we were some way from the toilet block and car park.

Tyckte om I loved my stay at Woodsworth Exploring.
Great facilities and the staff member Neil gave a really thorough induction and was on hand for any help and advice.
Plenty of clearing to pitch your tent easily and use of fire pits, camp stoves, etc. is allowed as long as they are controlled.

I will definitely be back.

Tyckte om Had a brilliant experience here. The chap doing the induction was friendly and very helpful. Given the dryness of the woodland it's good that they're quite strict about campfires while still allowing them. I was in a quiet corner of the site, although not that far from other campers, I felt like I had that little corner to myself with everyone out of sight and ear shot. Listening to the owls hooting while I toasted marshmallows over the campfire in the evening was magical. The facilities are clean and of a good standard. It's such a shame they don't have showers so I could stay longer, but this is made very clear before booking. As a motorcyclist it's reassuring to know the carpark is behind a locked gate and not very visible from the road. There's some nice pubs within a short walk (although quite steep hills involved), the Golden Fleece was very nice and great value for money.

Tyckte om We really enjoyed our time at Woodsworth Exploring. Everything was very clean, even the car park. It felt like real camping and it was such a nice experience to share with my girlfriend she really liked it too. A lovely place to spend time together outdoors!
