Tyckte om Nice location, found a nice spot eventually, parked next to the track initially but then moved as loads of lazy folk driving to and from toilet block

Tyckte inte om Only 2 men’s showers for the whole campsite, nowhere near enough. We actually wanted showers but didn’t want to que for ages so we went without. All the bins and skips were full and overflowing with rubbish. Loads of people driving to the toilet block, this shouldn’t be allowed, make them walk! Expensive for a basic site

Tyckte inte om Was extremely busy which was expected for bank holiday weekend but our neighbours pitched extremely close and didn’t come back on night until 1.45am and started cooking food. Extremely loud site until early hours of the morning. Facilities were nice and kept clean but nowhere near enough for the size of the site. There were well over 100 tents and 2 toilets so toilet roll was often empty. Rubbish overflowing. Could be a really lovely site with better facilities and some sorting of noise. Wouldn’t return because of these issues unfortunately. We have kids and absolutely wouldn’t class it as suitable to bring them with us.

Tyckte inte om I know it was bank holiday weekend and was super busy but only 2 toilets (with a couple of portaloos dotted around) didn't seem enough for so many campers/caravans as quite often had to que 10 mins to use the toilet. Cars driving around the campsite up and down the field until almost midnight. None of these would put me off booking again

Tyckte om Great field, great views and open space! Not too many rules, but quite time respected by all

Tyckte inte om The toilets! A major lack of facilities really. Lots of portable loos, but overflowing by end the day, so disgusting really! Not acceptable. The main block was ok, but only two toilets, really!! A great site, but need to invest. Also bins were overflowing, so again, get the basics right for the amount of people.

Did not prepare for the bank holiday weekend and how busy it would be. 1 portaloo per field which was full up constantly and horrendous!
Main toilets at the front are quite a walk and they were constantly without toilet roll, floors really slippy and unsafe. There was only 2 female, 2 male and 1 disabled showers for the whole site which is not adequate for the volume they allowed to camp!
Site states water nearby(canoeing and kayaking) which is false and was the only reason we picked here, unsafe railings for the river which has fallen down!

Every time we would enter the site after being somewhere or going to the shop we would be shouted at and asked to show reservation (this happened about 10 times for the whole stay) as a tip for the owner. I would say a leaflet or a note to be placed in your car or on your rear view mirror would make a lot more sense.

I could not raise these concerns when I was departing as there wasn’t any staff.

Regarding pitches, we were verbally abused by the owner of the shepherds hut on another field that we were not to set up camp where he could see as he has quests which want a view however the site had obviously been overbooked so we had no choice but to go there. ( we never seen any guests in the huts)

For booking this for the family over the weekend we paid over £200 which in my opinion is expensive for what the site is, I am not a happy customer.

I have to say I will not be revisiting here in a hurry.

Tyckte om Location, views, perfect for walks in and around settle, or heading out to 3 peaks.
Facilities are clean and tidy. It’s been bank holiday so busy but we made things work for us, early up and showered. Porta loos dotted about we fine and plenty of water points.
Some lovely people all there for a great weekend, and everyone very considerate!
Addition of the campfire loans was brilliant!
Jack the owner keeps things in good order and always on site if you need anything.

Tyckte inte om Nothing to dislike… camping is not about luxuries it’s about being out in the freshair, meeting likeminded people and we had all of that here.
