Понравилось: Absolutely everything such a beautiful peaceful quiet site. Best camping pods we have ever stayed in Ruth has thought of Absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay including kettle, toaster, cooking equipment, heater outdoor furniture, fire pit, Bbq pit, first aid kit, lamp and super comfortable beds and bedding! Shops and takeaway places only a 10 minute drive away. There is also a boat on the lake you can use whenever you want to which was fun. Facilities all lovely and clean and a lovely family run affair. Hosts very friendly and accommodating we cannot wait to return thanks for a lovely stay!

Понравилось: What a beautiful shepherds hut! Had everything we could possibly need and more. The bed was super comfy with a wonderful duvet and blankets and the hut was really cosy - it warmed up in seconds when we lit the log burner. We enjoyed our stay so much that we spent the weekend discussing when we could come back and whether we could get our own shepherds hut!!
Communication with Ruth was excellent and she was really helpful.

Понравилось: Beautiful little cabin! It had everything we needed, it was very clean and warm, the bed was the comfiest we've slept on in a good while and the shower was absolutely amazing, very strong water pressure and plenty of hot water too!

The cabin is located in a gorgeous, peaceful location in the Eden Valley near Brampton, with a stunning view; if you're lucky you might get visited by the 2 resident deer in the field outfront! You can enjoy a campfire right outside the cabin, so even if it rains a little, you can still sit outside as it's covered.

Inside the cabin there is a king size bed with lots of pillows and blankets to keep you comfy and warm, an electric heater, a toaster and an electric kettle, cups, glasses, cuttlery, a pot and a pan and cooking utensils and a two-ring portable gas hob (Campingaz brand) that's more than enough for some basic cooking. There is also a small fridge and a microwave.

Wi-Fi, some books and board games are available, as well. Lights, a big oval mirror on the wall too, the private bathroom outside of the cabin is not even 1 minute-s walk at the back, is very spacious, heated, has a large sink where you can wash up dishes, a large mirror, and they even provide a washing bowl, washing up liquid and a sponge, and kitchen towel too. Lots of toilet paper and 2 towels each (1 small, 1 large) are provided as well which was a nice touch as we'd forgotten to bring ours.

The resident dogs were a delight as well, as we're big dog lovers so it was nice to say hi and get a cuddle from them. We didn't get a chance to meet Ruth in person, however she was a great host and so quick to sort the electrics when they tripped due to us having both our phones on charge at the same time (word of caution - don't plug too many things in at once, the lekkie will trip!), but we met her husband and mother and the dogs, whom were all very lovely.

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin and we look forward to staying again!

Понравилось: Lovely hut in a lovely setting. Couldn't wish for anything more, would definitely stay again. The hut was clean and tidy and contained everything we needed. The host was very helpful and quick to reply. Would recommend the fox and pheasant inn, in Armathwaite. Village shop in Armathwaite was also very handy for wood for the log burner and other supplies. Our dog love it too

Не понравилось: The wifi was patchy but this turned out to be a good thing. It was really lovely to switch off and enjoy the surroundings.

Понравилось: We loved everything about our stay. We stayed in the pod and It was equipped with everything we needed and more for our weekend getaway. The kids had a lovely space to run around freely as well as the adults having a beautiful view. It was peaceful, quiet and relaxing. The rowing boat was a brilliant touch and added a little extra fun. The views and walks around were wonderful. We enjoyed the fire pit to toast marshmallows and to keep warm each night. Shops are not too far away either, no more than a 10-15 minute drive to local co-op. It was our first holiday/getaway as a family and it honestly was brilliant. We can’t wait to come again.

Понравилось: Highly recommend. We really loved the Shepherds Hut, it was really well equipped and spotless!!
Everyone was helpful & super friendly. We are dog lovers so the resident pooches were an added bonus. Gorgeous site and far enough away from other guests it didn’t feel cramped at all. Loved the little boat too, a fun touch. We stayed with friends who booked the cabin and didn’t realise it wasn’t in the same field but it wasn’t an issue for us.
Our dog loved roaming around the open field and pond area.
We headed to Duke Of Cumberland for a pub lunch and would recommend, especially the steak pie!

Would absolutely stay again. Peaceful weekend on a gorgeous site, just what we wanted :) thank you!!

Понравилось: A peaceful location with everything we needed to relax and enjoy our stay in the shepherds hut. Morning walks around the grounds the sun beaming down, birds singing , the smell of breakfast cooking and fresh air was wonderful. A very clean cosy well equipped accommodation. Ruth literally provides everything you need. We will return here. A hidden gem full of serenity.
