Gostou Loved the campsite. Very quiet and clean. Toilet and shower was super clean. Shower powerful & hot.
Great owner and good organisation. Chilled vibe. Great.

Não gostou Really picky please put a shelf in bathroom.

Gostou Everything!

From start to finish I had a the best experience here. Really friendly owners, beautiful campsite, exceptionally quiet aside from the farm animals, birds and insects (not a criticism, it was blissful), exceptionally bright starry nights and a hot shower that beats mine at home.

Great location for exploring the far south-west of Cornwall. If you’re into running or walking, there are lots of lovely local trails.

Gostou Loved watching grazing sheep from our pitch, pretty special. There was also a funky horsebox for the toilet and shower which made us chuckle. Plus 360 degree lovely countryside views.

Não gostou Incorrect Pitchup listing. We chose this campsite purely on the strength of it being advertised as 'Adult Only'. On arriving we were disappointed to find this was not the case at all, the van next to us had 2 young kids. Pitchup also stated no dogs permitted, but a van on the other side had a dog! Another issue is that the pitches are quite close together, the guy next to us was literally chain smoking, we couldn't sit outside and had to shut all our windows to avoid the disgusting smell.

Thank you for your review. We’re naturally disappointed to hear you didn’t fully enjoy your stay, especially as no concerns were raised with us at the time. We always encourage guests to speak to us if something isn’t quite right — in most cases we can resolve things immediately, and we would have been more than happy to do so for you.

For clarity, the two children you mention were 12 and 13 years old and were staying by prior arrangement as part of a specialist holiday. We had assurances they would be quiet and respectful — which they were. On rare occasions we accept well-behaved children or dogs by special request, and always with these assurances in place.

We take great pride in keeping our facilities exceptionally clean, and your 2-star cleanliness rating came as a surprise given the consistently positive feedback we receive in this area.

With regard to smoking, while we fully understand it isn’t to everyone’s taste, it is a legal activity on a guest’s own pitch and something we cannot control. Had you mentioned it, we could have offered you a different pitch to make your stay more comfortable.

As for dogs and animals, we are a small working farm with our own friendly dogs and livestock on site — this is part of the environment that many of our guests specifically choose us for. Booking a rural farm stay and then objecting to the presence of animals is perhaps always going to lead to disappointment.

Following your stay, we reached to you in order to better understand your concerns and even offered a refund as a gesture of goodwill. You chose not to reply and instead left this review. We feel this is unfair and unnecessarily damaging, and in truth reflects more on the individual than the campsite. We would urge any potential guests to bear this in mind when reading.

Gostou Great small and quiet campsite. The WC facilities were cute and creatively done. Unfortunately we experienced the uncomfortable time of showering in a puddle of water. It was explained that this is an issue which occurs now and again due to structural plumbing issues. Dan was kind and sorted the situation and in the rest of our stay it worked fine.

Couldn’t see the sea but suppose it’s just the time we were there as the hedges were high.

Had a nice time barbecuing until the farm dogs came over trying to get some meat! One of them sat next to us and growled. Apart from that it was all good!

Não gostou Blocked shower drain 1 out of 4 days. Farm dogs can be a little annoying as unattended and can go to your tent pitches even if the gates are locked. (I like dogs, don’t have one ourselves but if you’re terrified of them for some reason, just be mindful)

Also they knocked over our barbecue pit and growled at us when we had some food in the pitch

Gostou I loved the small, cosy and boutique aspects of this campsite.
The loos, shower and other facilities were clean.
I liked the ducks and dog. Unfortunately, the sheep were in another field and we didn't see the other farm animals.

Não gostou I couldn't see the sea, but then I am quite short and couldn't see over the tall hedge. It's quite an exposed site, on higher ground, so can be tough to hold onto your tent in windy weather.

Gostou Tiny site with well thought out toilet and shower facilities in an old horse box. Shower was super warm😊
Communal fridge and freezer very useful in the sometimes very hot sometimes not so hot weather. Liked the fact you could have a fire pit.

Não gostou The grass could have been a bit shorter but that’s such a minor thing..
Shower slow to drain but a bit of improvised plunging with a croc soon sorted it🤣

Gostou Wonderful place, very safe, amazing view. Ewe campsite is more comfortable than 5 star hotel. We will back there soon. ♥️♥️♥️
