Gostou Lovely quiet location. Well thought out site.
Plenty of space for everyone.
Nice up to date toilets. Showers with good hot water and pressure. Everything clearly marked. Really appreciated the dog wash station, thank you.
Leaving the toilet/shower doors open is a great idea, for airing the room but also I can see if they are vacant without leaving my spot.

Gostou Facilities are beautifully clean & well-maintained. Site is pretty.

Não gostou It was quiet when I was there mid-week in June. I do think that, in busier periods, the pitches could be too close together. I also think that 2 toilets & 1 shower would be insufficient too. There are urinals for the men. For me, it's not a great location as I'm wanting to climb the mountains and it's quite a drive to any of them from here. Admittedly, I only booked here because I couldn't get on at other sites closer to the high ground.

Do gerente: We are really disappointed that you did not enjoy your stay with us, this is very unusual, as we get great reviews, and 99.9% go home happy, we get lots of returning guests too.

Re comment on there only being only 2 toilets, is not correct, we do have 3 toilets, we also have 2 showers and 2 urinals - did you not notice that the converted horse box next to the toilet building was an additional shower/WC/hand basin?
With regards the pitches, they are spaced out as per the regulation with plenty of room. We have 20 pitches to the acre, well within the recommended, for a site our size according to the CCC regulations and fire regs, and as a Council Licenced Site.
We are very sad that you would give us a negative review, because the location did not suit you!
We hope you would give us another chance and perhaps come again, you would be very welcome.

Gostou A gorgeous small campsite with very clean and tidy facilities. Nice and quite and by the river. I was next to the road and was worried that the traffic might bother me. It didn't. Sadly, it rained for most of the time I was there, but I bet it's absolutely glorious when the sun shines. :-)

Gostou Flat pitches, very clean toilet block and beautiful location, easy access the cycle trails

Não gostou There were numerous signs telling you what not to do and that coupled with the fact that only one shower was available (six people on the site for the stay) left us somewhat disappointed

Do gerente: We are very pleased you thought our site beautiful and the facilities clean. We take a lot of pride in providing our campers with lovely facilities and grounds. And saddened that you will not come back again, that's a shame.
However. We are a little confused by the number of signs you say we have......?

We have a sign on the Grey Water waste/Dog wash point, asking our guests not to put toilet waste in this drain, and another one, requesting the same of the drinking water tap & soak away adjacent to the Chemical Disposal Point. There are a couple of signs asking campers to pick up their dogs mess, again, this has been needed.

Unfortunately, yes, it has been necessary to put signs in these locations, as in the past we have had to clean out the toilet waste from caravan and motorhome cassettes where campers have not understood where, and where not to empty - as you can imagine, cleaning out soakaway drains of human waste, is not a nice thing to have to do!

As for showers. There are two showers on site :-
The converted Horse Box with shower/toilet/hand basin, that sat next to the main shower/toilet building.
In the main building there is one large shower room with WC and hand basin with a hairdryer.
Then a single toilet and hand basin in the room next to it.
Plus additional urinals for the men.

The facilities are in line with the CCC guide lines for a 1 acre site with 20 pitches. It is not unusual for people to wait their turn for a shower to become available, we are very sorry if our facilities inconvenienced your stay with us, I am sad about that.

We hope you will reconsider your decision not to recommend us or visit again, as we would happily welcome you back.

Gostou Very well kept site and facilities were spotless and well-equipped. Lovely setting with the river running right past the site, and access to the riverbank for swimming. Lots of walks right from the doorstep.

Gostou Really lovely small quiet site, nice pitches, very clean facilities and great location.

Não gostou The only thing that I disliked was the one shower room in the hut to the right the light sensor wasn’t great and kept turning off after a few seconds if you weren’t moving much so made even brushing teeth at night difficult

Do gerente: We are delighted you enjoyed your stay at Dolau Afon, thank you so much for booking, it was lovely to meet you all.
We are so sorry about the lighting in the trailer shower, the light was only fitted last week, and we didn't realise that it was going off an on so frequently. It has now been adjusted and is staying on much longer now, giving more time to complete ablutions in the light. It was a quick and easy adjustment, and we wish you had told us it was doing this and you wouldn't have been inconvenienced, really sorry. We hope to see you again.
