Your adventurous side may very well rear its head once you touch down at Evergreen Farm in the Devon countryside. This large level-grounded site is in a rural patch opposite a forest, 10 minutes’ drive from the watersports haven at Roadford Lake and 35 minutes from Bude’s beaches and Dartmoor National Park. Fancy like some fresh produce to start off your day? Well, you won’t need to stray far, as there’s a farm shop on site selling free-range eggs and locally produced meats. This is the place to get your hands on a hot brew and a savoury or sweet treat, as there’s a selection of pies, pasties, sausage rolls, cakes and hot food available daily – plus local ice cream, cream teas and cups of tea and coffee. Once you’ve got all that energy in your veins, it may seem natural that the large forest opposite the site is next on your to-do list. Packed with wildlife and plenty of opportunities for kids (or adults) to let off steam, there are trails for walking and cycling and places to mash together a den. When you’re looking to stock up on your supplies, there are gas bottles available on site and local shops within four miles of the site. Holsworthy, Okehampton and Trethorne Leisure Park are all under 25 minutes’ drive away from the site, so you’ll be well within reach of leisure centres and golf courses too. And when you’ve got more food on the brain, there are several traditional country pubs serving food within 10 minutes’ drive of the site.

Gostou The farm shops fresh produce, especially the amazing home made scotch eggs are a must when you visit. The sausages are huge and delicious.

The shower was lovely and hot, there are two available.
The toilets are clean.
The owners are really helpful.
We love a small camp site and this was exactly that.
The woods opposite the farm are great for walking with the family.
There is only one washing up station which could be a negative if all of the pitches are in use, however, we never had to wait to use it.
There are footballs, badminton rackets and a volley ball available for you to help yourself to.
Launceston Tesco is 20 mins away.
Bude beach is approx 45 mins away and beautiful.
The Big Sheep is a lovely family day out if you have younger kids.
We had a great stay at this site.

The board stated food would be served all day on Sunday but it didn’t happen.
It is a working farm though, so is understandable that they can’t always be on site.

Gostou If you want a chilled holiday where the kids can run and be free this is the perfect place. There is a Forestry England woodland directly opposite, was a lovely walk and we made a lovely den. Shower block and toilets kept clean and tidy, lovely fresh produce in the farm shop. Will definitely be back

Não gostou No WiFi as its very remote, it didn't worry me but it might be a dislike for some people.

Gostou Absolutely lovely site. The couple that own/run it were super helpful and friendly.
The farm shop food was a fair price and burgers, sausages, steak were delicious .
The toilets were clean and regularly stocked up with hand soap and toilet paper.
Beautiful views and the woods opposite were an added bonus.
When booking we weren’t aware off games onsite but the added volley ball, badminton was a wonderful added bonus and the kids had great fun as did us adults.
Lovely quiet pitch would 100% visit again.

Gostou Peter was absolutely amazing, checked we had everything we needed and was very friendly! The site was clean and spacious with lovely views. We will definitely be back! Meat from the farm shop was absolutely delicious

Gostou The campsite ! Was small & quiet. Showers & toilets were clean & water was hot . Washing up facilities great , would definitely stay again .
The owner farmer was friendly , communicated well beforehand and came to see us on site.

Gostou Field was quite flat, owners were friendly and there was an on-site shop, which was quite handy.

Não gostou I would recommend either getting a hand dryer or a paper towel box, as there was nothing to dry my hands in the toilets

Gostou We love the tranquility of this site. Great owners. Very friendly and helpful. Clean facilities. Great open space in front of and behind the caravan pitch. Orientation on pitch can be anyway between the markers. We had grass fully serviced this time. We had booked hard standing but Pete remember us as return visitors and asked if we’d like to move closer to the facilities given my mobility difficulties. Much appreciated. We shall be back again.

Gostou Really lovely setting, very peaceful. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Showers and toilet block were clean, ample space in shower to change etc. site is only 5/6 miles from Roadford Lake and the moors are also in easy reach for days out etc. pitch was spacious and level each having EHU and water supply, there was also grey water and chemical facilities on site. Also across the road is Witherdon Wood, lovely walks.

Gostou A lovely welcoming campsite. We stayed as we had an event at the Watersports Centre so it was very close proximity to Roadford Lake. Loved the pitch we had, it was like a little paddock so our dog was able to have a great time running off lead! Really made it easy for us. Fab location, clean facilities, amazing sunset, friendly host.

Não gostou Nothing to dislike. If I had to pass comment I would just say that it would be nice to have a couple of private wash basin/vanity cubicles as the facilities are unisex.

So, you’ve got a thing for the outdoors… if so, Roadford Lake (10 minutes’ drive) should make it onto your activities list, as there’s walking and cycling on the shores, and out on the lake you can try watersports from kayaking and canoeing to craft-making (fingers crossed it doesn’t sink). Of course, Dartmoor National Park (35 minutes) is all about being in wide open spaces. Naturally, that may mean getting a bit mucky… horse riding, cycling, climbing and canoeing are all on the go here. Those of you specifically wanting to barrel around on bikes will want to set off to Sourton (20 minutes) to get onto the Granite Way cycling trail (there’s bike hire, too, for those of you without your own). After all that activity, perhaps you’ll want to round off the day with a cream tea in the ancient stannary town of Tavistock (35 minutes). The sugar rush might revive your senses – and that’s OK too, as you’ll have all the more energy for the historic Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre (15 minutes), the large Ashbury Hotel Golf Courses (20 minutes) or Bude’s beaches (35 minutes).
