Beacon Fell View

Gostou: This has got to be the best campsite for young children travelled with 9 month old and 6 year old there was so many things such as pool table, arcades, crazy golf night time entertainment swimming pool a park laundrette a pot washing area etc honeslty can't fault this place all the staff are lovely the site it's self is so peaceful and such a family friendly and dog friendly place. Will definitely be returning

Não gostou: The temperate of the pool was a little more to the cold side but bet its lovely In summer

The bin area needs more keeping on top of

Gostou: The staff were very helpful and friendly the pool was brilliant the showers and toilets were clean

Não gostou: The touring pitches were awful we booked a large plot but all of the caravans were crammed in.the roads and the plots were not maintained and very uneven we had to use planks of wood to level of the van as much as we could

Gostou: Free soft play and bar area

Não gostou: Pitches were very small despite booking a large and there were no grassed areas by the pitch.
No hairdryers
Bin areas were not emptied over a 4 day period, bins were overflowing and there were just bags of rubbish left.

Gostou: The club is very nice and modern, the pool is nice enough - it needs some activities / inflatables adding to it
The park was good
I like how close everything was to the touring pitches

Não gostou: Cars park next to the keypad that opens the barriers to the touring site, you have to leave your vehicle - get out and press buttons to open the barrier you can't drive next to it because of parked cars and then rush back in to your car and get through the barrier.
There was no shop.
I requested a end pitch but pitches are not assigned upon arrival.. its a free for all, the only pitches left had a banking so steep you could only go so far back, my caravn actually hung over onto the path/road where everyone walks and drives past to prevent it tipping down the banking. a ridiculous amount of raising and levelling and wood was needed.
Showers really need updating.

Gostou: Had a great holiday. The facilities are excellent and all the staff were lovely. A major plus was the kids entertainment team. They were amazing!

Não gostou: The touring pitches look as though they’re in the process of being improved which is a good thing. The ones they are yet to do are in desperate need of levelling and clear boundaries being put in. But as said they are currently on with sorting it.

Gostou: Tiered pitches. Good amount of space on all pitch and as not busy choice of pitch, not allocated. Swimming pool decent size, designed for swimming not necessarily young play. Small arcade. Clean. Well draining hard standing.

Gostou: The view is stunning.
The pool is clean and well maintained.
The entertainment staff are great.
Friendly staff.
Modern facilities.
Small site which we liked.
Great entertainment programme.
WiFi being worked on.

Não gostou: The cleaning in toilet blocks and
Overall could be better.
Maintenance on playground could be better.
Touring pitches while big are not level.
Entry to Touring pitches are key code. The key pad is too low.
More game machines in the arcade and not just prize machines.
WiFi none.

Gostou: Location, size of the park, drinks at the bar reasonable cost. Good for local walks.

Não gostou: Sunday the toilet block was not cleaned and was dirty, blocked plugs in sinks, no soap in dispensers, many soap dispensers missing, taps only come on when pressed down so hard to rinse hands properly. Not all hand dryers work, and none at all in the gents.
No pitch numbers and no markings on pitches to guide where to park.
Given wrong information about water points so we ended up filling up from an outside washing up sink at full hosepipe length, only to find at arrival on pitch there was a water point much more accessible!
Expensive when you take into account basic shower block facilities - no hooks to hang washbags or towels, no soap dispensers on sinks etc.
No food available at entertainment centre - delivery due on Tuesday! Limited menu.
Overall we were disappointed, we have stayed at much nicer touring parks for lower cost.

Gostou: Access to the swimming pool

Não gostou: Pitches were awfull very uneven unkept broken glass all over. Shower block is very outdated no soap to wash your hands with we were given a choice of 3 pitches to find they were already taken so ended up next to a building site with building materials just there for children to mess with just very scruffy and too expensive for what you get. Will not be returning.

Gostou: There is currently a lot of construction work taking place on the touring pitches. When complete, this will certainly be good for the site.
The shared areas: bar, arcade and pool were very good - clean, fresh and the staff were very polite and welcoming.
The toilet block was always clean, the showers (although basic) were also clean.

Não gostou: Not as such a dislike, but the construction of the pitches impacted our stay. The noise, dust etc. It would have been nice to have a warning about this before we booked.
However, I am looking forward to returning to Beacon Fell when the work is complete.
