Lowick Bridge Campsite has one heck of a location, what with the spectacular mountain and fell views, and it being so close to Coniston Water and Windermere… It’s a fab base for outdoorsy types keen to get up mountains or out on the water in as short a time as possible. This back-to-basics site is also a great stopover for long-distance hikers, as the Cumbria Way starts just 15 minutes’ drive away in Ulverston. You can get out onto footpaths and cycling tracks right from the pitches. You may also spot a nearby river, although take note that there's no direct access from the campsite. If you’re after a lazy day doing nothing much except admiring those views, there’s plenty of space around the secluded pitches for dogs (please keep them on a lead) and kids to roam safely. With a fence and hedge circling the campsite, you don't have to be too worried about the kids straying too far. There’s a lot to do en famille off-site too, with a steam railway and watersports all less than half an hour away. You should have most of what you need for everyday within less than a 10-minute drive from here. The nearest pub (home to a lovely beer garden) is five minutes' walk away in Lowick Bridge, and a second, 17th-century pub serving real ales is 20 minutes' walk away from the site in Lowick Green. In Spark Bridge, a third pub serves comforting pub grub and Sunday roasts – this one's a couple of minutes' drive away. In riverside Greenodd (10 minutes' drive), source barbecue bits from the butcher, treat the family to fish and chips or pick up fresh loaves and takeout pizza from the bakery. For evening activities, a limited number of firepits can be hired from the site on a first-come, first-served basis; firewood is also sold on site.

Gostou Great site and lovely owner Tim. Site is clean and tidy no faults. Basket full of toys and fire pits to be used at no cost just return them after using them. Will definitely return 😊

Gostou Tim was great, kept everywhere clean and tidy, sink with running water that you can drink porta loos very clean. bins emptied.

Gostou The campsite is very clean and was spaced out lovely. It didn’t feel cramped and crowded, even on the bank holiday! You can camp wherever in the field and there’s a family field separate to the groups field which is great for younger people. Tim is a great help and replies very quickly when you need anything. It’s very close to water and also pubs so you can walk to nearby things. Also bike hires nearby which was fab. The toilets were very clean and were seen to every morning! I highly recommend taking a walk to the Royal Oak pub nearby, the food was amazing. Personally avoid the Farmers Arms food as this was really disappointing.

Gostou This was a last minute booking literally 22:30 on the Friday night before our stay for our first ever camping trip as a couple with two dogs. (Wish us luck )
Arrived at 11:15am Saturday morning for one night stay Communication from Tim and the greeting was very nice.
The field wasn’t too busy & It is what it’s says on the tin a basic field to pitch up in with running fresh water and Porta-loos.
Location decent with a pubs less than 15min walk each way
We forgot a few things but with a short five mile drive there’s an Aldi so collected what we forgot from there.

Really friendly people around and other dog owners so didn’t feel uncomfortable with our two dogs on site.

Night sky & Stars were amazing really peaceful at night,

Não gostou Even though the toilets were immaculate there should definitely be more than 3 toilets for the amount of people on site after a full days use there started to fill up quick.

If you blink and miss the campsite sign the Sat nav takes you past and to the farm, maybe use app and what3words ///allowable.lawyer.emulating

Do gerente: Hi. We usually have 6 toilets for bank holiday weekends. This weekend we only had 13 bookings until Saturday afternoon and it was too late to get any more toilets delivered. We used to have what 3 words on my message but nobody used it and still got lost

Gostou Close to Coniston water, cheap at only £25/night, toilets are kept clean and maintained well, large bin on site & the owner seems friendly enough.

Não gostou The road can be quite noisy & it was a bit annoying that people decided to start smoking weed which stunk but that’s not the owners fault.

Gostou Really lovely area. Very rural and quiet. Has a lovely bucket with toys for children to play with. Also has a small sink to wash dishes. Porterloos at the bottom of the feild. Really good location close to lakes, viewpoints and other areas to explore.

Não gostou Only down side was no shower. & the site said it was on a lake that you could swim in. It is near lovely lakes that you can swim in but not physically on.

Não gostou It’s such a big field maybe have one side for families and one for adults only.
Wasn’t a problem when we were there but if it was busier.
