Não gostou: Electric kept tripping off on site, pitches were a little tight

Gostou: Had electric.

Não gostou: Female toilet and shower blocks not clean and toilets themselves were very small.

Came in a hire motor home; left the site after first night to go out for the day, came back about 5pm that evening and our pitch had been taken. Spoke to owner who said “well you didn’t leave anything to say it was yours” - we were in a hire motor home and had nothing to leave as wouldn’t risk leaving electric wire out as it wasn’t ours. No offer from owner for anything to leave. He also didn’t show us a new plot or ask us if we wanted the original plot, just said to us “find an empty plot and just use that” - there was literally one left and no apology at all. I thought when you reserve a pitch, that’s yours for the time your there? Not having to pitch hop! 3rd night also ended up on a different plot aswell due someone else being given our second plot.

Gostou: Great relaxed site .
Good food in the pub and selection of drinks.
Plenty of hot water in the showers

Não gostou: Showers need better hooks and a bench to put things on .

Gostou: Walks from the site to the Druids Ruins and nice flat walk into Masham which was lovely by the river. Shower block small but showers warm and powerful (don't normally use blocks). Beer garden looked lovely but we didn't go.

Não gostou: Pitches. On a sloping site which was no good on the grass pitch. The weight of a motorhome on a sloping grass pitch just meant the blocks sunk. We had 3 days of being on a steepish angle not ideal or comfortable at all. When we arrived we were shown straight to pitch, when asked where we could fill up water and we were told by the shower block but the guy said I guess you won't have a hose long enough .He was keen to get us exactly where he wanted us to be so didn't seem an.option to drive right round again to fill up. We noticed another motorhome get set up only to have to unplug everything to fill up water. Maybe site should point out waterpoint before showing pitches so filling up can be done first? We have also learnt to ask before pitching ! Wasn't aware of wifi being available.

Gostou: A great well kept little campsite attached to The Black Swan Inn. Nice food, exceptional beer and a great beer garden with plenty of tables and chairs. Some superb walks available from the site which cater for all levels. Masham is about a couple of mile walk but worth it for a visit to the Theakston and Black Sheep Breweries and a few of the local hostelries.

Gostou: Beautiful views, big pitch, wonderfully well kept site, great facilities, excellent food and a welcoming cosy pub.
We loved it all which is why we went back and will return again.

Gostou: Good location and pub on site is very handy. Toilet block and showers are fine. Have stayed before and would return
