Line up in an orderly fashion, glamping families or couples in search of romance. Here’s a treat for you. What with a handy location half an hour’s drive from Cambridge and 15 minutes from Newmarket, and a peaceful setting amid extensive leafy gardens, the luxury accommodation at Piggles Retreat has a lot going for it. On the outskirts of the rural Cambridgeshire village of Brinkley, exceptional amenities in each lavishly appointed wooden lodge encompass heating, a comfy double bed and sofa bed sleeping up to three guests (all bed linen is provided), a small and well-equipped kitchen area and a flatscreen TV for lazy evenings in. Exclusive-use bathrooms with power showers are close by and marble basins are a few steps away. Each lodge has private decking with a barbecue, table and chairs. When the fickle British weather permits, you can hide away in the extensive lakeside gardens, picnic in the gazebo, or climb up to the treehouse platform for some chilled downtime with a good book. Organise a foray into Cambridge colleges and museums, or hang out on site – whatever you choose to do, there’s plenty to see and do. Take a rowing boat out on the lake, keeping an eye out for the resident ducks, hone your badminton skills or challenge fellow glamping guests to putting on the site’s mini-golf course. (Please note that the lake's water level is subject to weather conditions, so boating may not be possible in extended dry periods.)

Gostou I truly felt like I was in paradise. Everything was perfect – the cleanliness and order were outstanding. JP was extremely kind and helpful throughout my stay. The green outdoor space is also beautifully maintained. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend my birthday.

Não gostou I really had a wonderful stay, and everything was amazing. If I may give a small personal suggestion, as someone who tends to feel cold even in August, it would have been nice to have an extra blanket available. Additionally, perhaps adding a shared fridge could be beneficial – the small one in the room is sufficient, but a communal fridge would provide guests with a bit more space. These are just little ideas from my perspective that could make an already fantastic place even more comfortable. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay and felt great there

Gostou We enjoyed our stay. Of course, there are some downsides, but the owner seems to do everything possible to fix them. For example, the lake had very little water, as it fills up only from rain. If there hasn’t been any rainfall for a while, you won’t be able to use the boats. If you enjoy cooking all kinds of food on the barbecue, I recommend bringing some extra utensils with you — such as a knife, a cutting board, and of course, charcoal. The lodge itself is clean and cozy, and although the bathroom is not inside the lodge, it is comfortable and fully equipped with everything you need.

Gostou John gave a fantastic tour on arrival and it is clear the pride he takes in the site. Room was spacious and well appointed. Bathroom facilities are private and a short walk away from the cabin. Very comfortable, would highly recommend for a memorable experience

Gostou The site was so well kept and rooms spotless. Comfortable beds, clean and modern bathroom facilities and well appointed cabins. It is clear the pride John takes in The Piggles and it was a pleasure to stay here

Do gerente: This review is very spiteful and incorrect.
All of their comments should be ignored as these guests arrived at 10,30pm very late and it was raining.They stayed for 30 minutes and decided to leave because the bathroom was not located in the cabin.
We have very good reviews with 5 star ratings and we have been nominated as Super Hosts by AirBnb.

Cambridge (half an hour’s drive) awaits you with its spectacular array of historic colleges, from the medieval turrets and spires of Corpus Christie to the Gothic extravagance of Kings. Go punting along The Backs (don’t miss the bizarre wooden Mathematical Bridge), have a nose around the modern art at Kettle’s Yard or see masterly Dutch Golden Age paintings in the Fitzwilliam Museum. There’s more heritage to be examined at the 11th-century cathedral in Ely (40 minutes), with its jewel-like stained-glass windows and soaring nave.
