Run, don't walk to Camping Au Soleil d'Oc in Monceaux-sur-Dordogne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Set on the grounds of an old renovated property surrounded by vegetation and woods on the banks of the Dordogne river, this is a pretty place indeed. Set between Auvergne and Périgord, the site is just a 10-minute drive away from the town of Argentat-sur-Dordogne. All is très bien for activities on site: try your hand at fishing in the river, or go paddle canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding directly from the site for a small fee. Or might you fancy the covered and heated waterpark, which comes complete with a Jacuzzi for serene soaks as well as a paddling pool for the kids...? An outdoor pool is also available during high season only. Also at Camping Au Soleil d'Oc – yes, there's quite a bit more – is a playground, sports fields, a pétanque area, ping pong tables and a miniature golf course. A kids' club is also available in July and August to keep younger children occupied while the adults unwind.

Merci d’avoir pris le temps de partager votre avis. Nous sommes désolés que votre séjour n’ait pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes, et nous apprécions sincèrement votre retour.

Concernant l’eau trop chaude dans le bâtiment sanitaire : nous vous présentons nos excuses pour ce désagrément. Suite aux remarques de plusieurs clients, nous avons ajusté la température afin qu’elle ne soit plus aussi élevée. Nous comprenons que cela ait pu poser problème, notamment pour la toilette des jeunes enfants.

Le manque d’eau dans les douches la veille de votre départ était dû à un système de sécurité qui s’est déclenché de manière imprévue. Dès que nous en avons eu connaissance, nous avons fait le nécessaire pour rétablir la situation au plus vite.

À propos du pain : nous trouvons regrettable que vous ayez été pénalisée par cette erreur. Nous avons immédiatement proposé d’aller chercher du pain frais chez le boulanger, mais nous comprenons votre déception.

Le bar était ouvert chaque jour de 8h à 10h le matin, puis de 15h jusqu’en soirée. Nous veillerons à ce qu’il soit plus visible à l’avenir. Nous essayons de trouver un équilibre entre disponibilité et tranquillité pour nos vacanciers.

Concernant les tarifs : vous êtes la première cliente à nous faire part d’un ressenti négatif à ce sujet. Nous recevons généralement des retours positifs sur la qualité de notre cuisine. Nous regrettons que cela n’ait pas été votre cas.

En ce qui concerne les animations : en juillet et août, nous proposions trois activités par jour pour les enfants et les adultes. Le programme était affiché à la réception et à la piscine. Nous veillerons à ce qu’il soit encore plus visible à l’avenir.

La piscine intérieure a été contrôlée et validée à une température constante de 26°C. La piscine extérieure, quant à elle, n’est pas chauffée, comme indiqué sur notre site internet et à la réception.

Enfin, nous prenons très au sérieux le signalement du nid de frelons et nous regrettons qu’il n’ait pas été traité plus rapidement.

Malgré ces points, nous espérons que vous avez tout de même pu profiter du calme, de la nature, de la beauté des environs et du charme de la Dordogne, ainsi que de nos emplacements spacieux et verdoyants, qui offrent une belle intimité et permettent à chacun de pleinement apprécier le cadre naturel et l’ambiance paisible du camping.

Polubione Wonderful location on the banks of the Dordogne. Pitches are nearly level, so a couple of blocks/ ramps advisable. Beautiful tranquil lush surroundings. Good facilities, and amenities.

Options in the area around Camping Au Soleil d'Oc include nature days, heritage days or just rambling around the local towns and villages. It's well worth the hour and five minutes' drive from here to the tiny and highly scenic clifftop village of Rocamadour, a place of pilgrimage for centuries and also famed both for monkey park La Forêt des Singes and for its local cheese. If it's more French heritage you're after, you could also meander around the medieval town of Gramat (15 minutes from Rocamadour and an hour from the site), a top spot too on the medieval pilgrim trail (a weekly market is here these days as well). Also in the area, have a day out at the underground river and caves at Gouffre de Padirac (50 minutes' drive, and also a must), see the red sandstone village of Collonges-la-Rouge (40 minutes) and the hilltop town of Turenne (50 minutes. Or visit Argentat (10 minutes), Beaulieu sur Dordogne (15 minutes), the castles of Curemonte (35 minutes) and Brive la Gaillarde (50 minutes). A ramble among the ruins of the Tours de Merle is reachable in half an hour. Lots of local waterfalls are around to be flowed along to too.
