The weather outside may be getting frightful, but don't worry! Outdoor accommodation specialist Pitchup.com has released three of its top winter pods with availability this December, perfect for enjoying a cosy getaway with family and loved ones this holiday season.
Bryncoch Farm, Carmarthenshire: from £6.25 per person per night
Carmarthenshire, Ammanford: Pitchup.com has availability on its camping pods at Bryncoch Farm this December with prices starting from £25 per night based on four people sharing (£6.25pppn).
Set on the edge of the Black Mountains around a small, picturesque lake, these peaceful pods provide the perfect holiday getaway. Located within the Brecon Beacons National Park, Bryncoch Farm is also close to Carreg Cennen Castle and Aberglasney Gardens.
A cosy and well-earned holiday break and winter scenery is what visitors can expect upon arriving at Bryncoch Farm this December. The camping pods feature a futon sofa and a bunk bed, a heater and Wi-Fi. The site has shower and toilet facilities.
Mains Farm Camping and Caravan Site, Cumbria: from £8.75 per person per night
Cumbria, Penrith: Pitchup.com has availability on its family camping pods at Mains Farm Camping and Caravan Site this December with prices starting from £35 per night based on four people sharing (£8.75pppn).
Set in the English countryside, these pods are located in either a beautiful orchard or an open former farmland. There’s plenty to explore nearby: walks around the Lake District and Eden Valley; picture-perfect moments at Hadrian's Wall and the Scottish border; or holiday shopping at Penrith's markets.
The wooden pods sleep up to two adults and two children. On-site facilities include shower and toilet blocks in converted stables, two kitchen areas, washing and drying facilities, and a children's play area.
Hillcrest Park, North Yorkshire: from £8.00 per person per night
North Yorkshire, Richmond: Pitchup.com has availability on its camping pods at Hillcrest Park this December with prices starting from £40 per night based on five people sharing (£8.00pppn).
Enjoy the pastoral panoramas from any spot of the grounds of this tranquil former farm. Raby Castle is one of the greatest medieval spectacles in the country and can be found nearby - so close in fact, it can even be seen from the site. Guests can also discover the world's first steam train to take on paying passengers at the Darlington Railway Centre and Museum.
The Hillcrest pods are heated and well insulated. On site there are bathroom and toilet blocks, laundry and dishwashing facilities, a small campers' kitchen and a large exercise area for dogs.
