What a beaut. And it's an award-winner too: carve out as much time as you can to stay at Morfa Bychan Holiday Park, on a Ceredigion clifftop overlooking stunning Cardigan Bay. As you'll see from the pics, spectacular sea views are all around here, so you can be basking among these Welsh coast views as soon as you arrive (barbecues are allowed for those who prefer to bask among coastal views while their other half preps the alfresco eats). Beach access is a cinch too, as famed seaside resort of Aberystwyth is within six miles, and the park has direct access to its own pebble beach for shore walks, fishing, boating, rockpooling and surfing. There's loads of room for kids to run around on the park and on the beach; should they inexplicably tire of this, take them along to Morfa's pirate ship play area to swashbuckle and swing. The heated outdoor summer pool and spacious grassy area alongside are other popular family spots, as is the games lounge with board and computer games, TV, pool tables and air hockey. The friendly team are on hand to help with whatever you might need, whether it's assistance in getting set up when you arrive or sharing their tips on the (many) top places to make for in the region. There's a stack of tourist info at the site reception to aid your decision-making further and give you something to read while your other half sorts out the coffee…

Likte: Sea views are gorgeous from loads of different pitches. Site is perfectly maintained with loads of wildlife and flowers. Staff all really friendly. Really clean. Lovely pool.

Likte ikke: Hot water in washing up area wasn't very hot so washing up took longer but that's only a minor grumble.
The drive to the site involves quite a bit of winding roads so just be prepared to reverse when you meet traffic!

Likte: Everything! We had a wonderful experience! The pool is delightful, the staff were very helpful if you needed them. The toilets and showers were clean. You have a lovely view of the sunset & a pebble beach. We drove down to new quay in the day to see the dolphins. A 10 minute drive to a Tesco in Aberystwyth. I will be back soon!

Likte ikke: We didn’t dislike anything at all, only things that are maybe worth noting. - I really enjoy swimming, however there were lots of children in floats in the pool which made it very difficult to try and enjoy. May be worth introducing adults hour only, so maybe the first hour in the morning and the last hour in the evening to give us more chance to enjoy the pool.

Likte: Quiet site , stunning cliff sea views , Welsh coastal path next to site allows safe but hilly walk to Aberystwyth and south towards other areas . Clean site .

Likte ikke: Narrow lane into site , access often causing issues with local traffic as very few sections to pass 2 ways . Shop on site very small , no fresh bread , milk or groceries . For such a large site it has no bar , cafe or restaurant. Having to pay for wifi

Shop: Our shop is replenished often, but we recommend researching your destination to ensure you have everything you need, Our website states we have a small shop supplying bare neccesities only.
Alcohol-free atmosphere: Many guests appreciate the alcohol-free environment, which contributes to the tranquility of the site.
Narrow lane: We understand the access can be challenging, we have no control over the access roads but we are looking into ways to improve this.
Amenities: While we don't have a bar, café, or restaurant, we aim to provide a serene and relaxing experience, which is why guest return time and again.

Likte: The location and views were stunning. Our pitch looked directly over the bay with amazing sunsets. The grounds were beautiful and meticulously maintained, with all the facilities you'd need, and very clean. Easy access to the coastal path for a walk into Abeystwth (around an hour).

Likte ikke: The beach is very stony, but we still enjoyed a wander down to take in the landscape.

Likte: The place it self is nice, however, the pitch are not fully flat and looked after.

Likte ikke: The staff (old lady) was so grumpy and rude. when i booked the pitch i wanted to to stay 2 nights and i was told I have to book 1 night and when i arrive there i can but another day if i wanted. However when i got there the old lady was so rude to me and not gave me another night to stay and mentioned she was fully booked when there was a-lot of space left. The pitch itself is not flat and not looked after. Staff aren't dog friendly.

Lokale attraksjoner

The Wales Coast Path runs through the park and is easily accessible via kissing gates. The path runs for a whopping 870 miles from Chepstow in the south to Queensferry in the north: potter the few miles to Aberystwyth and then – for the energetic – hike further for 10 miles on the linked Ceredigion Coast Path to its finishing point at Ynyslas. Aberystwyth, 15 minutes' drive away, has stacks to do in and out of peak season, including a harbour to wander around, the National Library of Wales and the Aberystwyth Arts Centre for indoor days, and a buzzing nightlife with pubs, gigs and eateries aplenty. The same distance in the other direction will land you at Llanrhystud, a popular spot in summer for beaches, watersports and fishing. Nature spotting and birdwatching are easily accessed in the area too, either under your own steam or via a dolphin and seal safari trip around Cardigan Bay. Ensure your marine mammal sightings – recommended if you possess fractious offspring – with a trip to the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre at New Quay; boat trips can be booked from here too.
