Basic facilities for the price.

Likte The red lion campsite was in a great location, between Weymouth and Poole and just a short drive to Lulworth cove and Durdle Door. Facilities were great and it was so nice to have the pub on site as was great to pop in for some drinks or food to get cosy in the evening. The food was fab and the staff were so lovely. Lizzie and the chap from Pontypridd (sorry we didn't get your name) served us the most and they were so welcoming and friendly.

Likte ikke Not a dislike, people have previously mentioned the road noise. It is on a busy main road but you get used to the noise and only noticible in the night when heavy vehicles pass through.

Likte The Pub, especially the Sunday Carvery. (10% discount in the Pub for users of the site a nice touch and very welcome)
Hardstanding with very stable electricity supply.
The toilets and showers were very clean.
The view over the fields to the south.
The location very convenient for Lulworth, Durdle Door, Wareham, Corfe Castle, Kimmeridge, Swanage and Weymouth.

Likte Large hardstanding area, welcome booking in and access to great pub. Good value if you don’t need electricity and 10% off food and drink at the pub made it better value. Pub staff very friendly and helpful.

Likte Easy check in, clean bathrooms, and the pub is lovely - great food and welcoming staff. Good location for Lulworth Cove and castle.

Likte ikke Disliked is a strong word - just two things to be aware of. 1: you are by a main road so I can be a little noisy with traffic at times. 2: we went during a quiet period, so access to the toilets and showers wasn't an issue. However when the field is full, you have 3 toilets and 3 showers - i would imagine you have a bit of a waiting time!

We do have 4 showers on site, and our pub toilets are also open to campers during pub opening hours, so there’s usually plenty of space even when it’s busy.

Likte Nice Flat dry pitch close to shower toilets and pub. Fantastic range of food and drinks.
The Breakfast is a must. The staff gave great service.

Likte Not a lot

Likte ikke Expensive field for a weekend. One shower out of use which left two for the whole site. Not enough facilities for the size of site. Annoying having to use a separate code for each one, especially in the night. Noisy road right outside and expensive pub food. Staff not trained with complaints about cold food and just ignored our table
